“I like this place a lot but I have a problem with the card fee on EVERY CARD. It is not legal to charge debit cards 3 percent. I realize this place does a lot of good but it still annoys me so I bring cash. Staff is always delightful and I always find something good. They have an entire dress section upstairs”

“this is one of my favorite thrift stores. all the money goes to helping animals, you can adopt a cat here as the upstairs houses cats for adoption, all of the volunteers are very nice n go above n beyond, and the prices are unbeatable. I don't want to write this great review because I want to be greedy n keep this gem for myself but they truly deserve to be recognized for the glorious job they do.”

“I got the cutest sweater for 5 dollars and got a good tasting coffee as well. The guy at the counter was super nice and attentive. It is my first time in Pittsburgh and if I ever were to visit again, I would definitely come back to the store.”

“Loved the clothes and shopping experience! As a yoga teacher and personal trainer, ReActive is my go to store for fitness clothing brands in excellent condition. I loved how interactive the staff were, the recommendations they provided, and that they ship the clothes to you if needed. I can't wait to come back!”

“I visited here while visiting Pittsburgh and I'm so glad I was able to go, fairly small place but lots to look at. They also had greeting cards for the upcoming holiday (Halloween) along with decorations, costumes etc, right in front of the store. I picked up 10-12 small items including an unopened lego bag kit for a small car, I paid $5 - ridiculously affordable. I never caught the employee's name but she was so nice, I was the only customer for a bit so we talked a while about different things. Definitely one of my favorite memories from the trip was going to that thrift store.”

“Love this thrift store but the last 2 times I donated I got a cranky old man in a yellow vest named Russ. His attitude completely changes when he find out you didn't sort your donations. Where does the sign say to sort them? No where. I even apologized and he makes you feel like you inconvenienced him and the whole staff. If he is a volunteer...go volunteer someplace that you're not miserable! I will never donate there again. I would rather throw it in the trash than deal with his annoying self.”

“Hands down one of the best thrift experiences in Pittsburgh. Everything is color coordinated which de- stresses the eye looking for items. It is always clean, and organized. Staff is very kind and genuinely great to interact with. Love the .99 color everyday plus 2 additional colors 50% every week. Makes items affordable daily as opposed to other thrift brands only do Sunday discounts. I enjoy coming there to thrift. Bravo to Management it shows they take pride in there store.”

“My hubby and I went there to find some last minute clothes for him. He had a business casual interview the next day and we were on a tight budget. I was really happy with their selection. He was able to find a few nice shirts and pants. I was completely surprised that the cookware and dinnerware was priced so nicely. I ended up buying an instapot for $10. I'll definitely be coming back for some great deals.”

“Interesting place. They had everything. Some items were well used some in original packaging. My first time there. Another place you need to know regular pricing on items. Want to go to another one in a different area, to see how they compare. Worth stopping by to look around. Stores support habitat for humanity.”

“My time of need practically penniless St. Vincent De Paul came to my rescue. I don’t know what I would’ve done. It was a blessing. I have worked my whole entire life. I did not know places like this existed. All I can say is I was blessed and I think God that people who are willing to give their time to help people in need. They are wonderful.”

“I haven't been to a goodwill in awhile...the prices are very high for a thrift store. I don't like the new to me pricing...either. this store is pretty big, I didn't get a chance to really like around so I will be back when I have a couple of hours to look around.”

“They had a booth at Construction Junction's vintage mart, and I made a beeline for the Star Wars toys to buy something for my boyfriend. Found this 78 X-Wing Luke and a Miss Piggy McDonald's glass from 81. Very neat finds if you're a collector of fun toys of yesteryear. The earrings in the pic were from another lovely booth called The Serendipitous Find that had thrifted clothes and handmade jewelry.Definitely come on out to CJ during vintage mart! It's a lot of fun and the vendors work hard to put on a great event.”

“The best Goodwill I've ever been to for clothing. I went in WANTING a black puffy vest for fall and winter expecting to leave with nothing. I walked in and saw two perfect vests right there. I ran to them. Fit amazing. Got both.Tons of clothing to pick from.Very very long lines but who cares when you get name brand things for amazing prices.Would highly recommend. I definitely plan on coming back more often!!”

“I was pleasantly surprised by this goodwill. I am from out of state and like going to different goodwills to see what they are like. Here is the rundown.

-no returns
-has fitting rooms
-nice big store
-dimly lit
-only a few registers
-prices are higher than where I’m from
-had a decent selection of everything
-aisles are labeled so you can find things easily

This wasn’t the best goodwill I’ve been to but it is far from the worst. I would recommend shopping here.”

“I frequent this store as it’s convenient to me. The staff is always super friendly, though the store is small, selection minimal, and prices on the higher end. That being said! I’ve found some really cool pieces here, so I recommend checking it out if you’re nearby.”

“Great place one of my favorites to get girly clothes. Thrifting may not be what it used to but I know how to search for what I want and to look for the colored tags that are on discount. Crop tops for $2.50, dresses for anything around $18 usually I find ones cheaper than that based on what I look for, quality jackets for around $15. Sometimes there are bigger tickets items bc of brand or something but I tend to just ignore them. There are even funny tshirts, I found one with Krusty the Clown on it (from The Simpsons).
This place is mainly good for it's clothes not as great for items which is completely ok.

Also as a trans person that was denied having a girly childhood and teen years, this place is so so so good for finding some cheap items to try out, feel, and see if it meshes with your look/style so you know and can get higher quality items that are similar elsewhere or here, wherever obvi.”

“EDIT: The manager handled this situation amazingly well. I will go back!

Was literally assaulted by the man doing donations. Rude dude who clearly hates his life and job. I was putting things into the bin and he comes over with his forklift to grab the container I was putting things in..rams it into me and my foot and takes the bin. Never said anything to me. Clearly saw me.”

“I went looking for clothes for the Winter. I walked in and found that all clothes were half off. I spent 70$ and got an entire winter wardrobe. Some of the items still had the tags on them from the original store and everything was name brand. Very happy.”

“Thrifting is a pass-time we enjoy as a family and this one does not disappoint! I am teaching my teenage daughter about housekeeping & frugality so she actually prefers thrifting over regular shopping. We have literally spent hours here before and left with some pretty awesome finds. Although my husband and I have decided to never go on the weekend anymore as it is super crowded and the aisles are uncomfortably narrow. It is still pretty crowded during the week but not as bad, in our experience anyway.”
