“The selection of Legos is really nice. My son almost all of his Lego sets from this store itself. It’s cool that they always have free gifts and promotions for spending certain amounts.”

“I have visited this location a few times now since moving here. Not only do I love that they have Dubai chocolate but I love that the store manager always remembers me and made me feel welcomed! Thank you for amazing service! My favorite location by far!”
“Absolutely adore this place. We drove from Youngstown for the GH5 comeback and everyone is always so sweet and nice and just as excited for the comeback as us! 10/10 will always come back.”

“This store is incredible, the staff are great, and everywhere you look in here you see something you want to buy! Neca, Super 7, DC, Marvel, they have it all, and you will be rewarded for digging around in bins and shuffling through their huge aisle of carded vintage figs. Absolutely one of the best comics and collectible shops in Pittsburgh!”
“Solid shop. Great selection of back issues and prices. Staff is always friendly and helpful. In addition to comics, they also have games and a plethora of other pop culture items.”

“Brian did a spectacular job this evening. He was so good with my 2 littles. My 3 year old was very engaged in what was happening throughout the process, thanks to his helpful direction. I hope everyone who comes to this store has an experience as magical as we did.”
“Great toy store for Montessori parents and children! We love to bring our son in and the owner is very friendly and welcoming each time. There's a variety of books, toys, stuffed animals, crafts, etc. for kids of all ages.”
“I want to thank everyone who helped me and was so kind to my son yesterday. I'm 16 weeks pregnant and while I was waiting for my boyfriend to return from the car I fainted while I was with my son who has autism. The staff and bystanders were so amazing and wonderful to my son who was scared and not able to understand what was going on and to myself. I truly can't thank all of you enough for your kindness and compassion! I will forever be grateful!”
“So many fun things, I do a giveaway every month on Facebook and most of the gifts in the basket are from 5 n below, I love them like I love party city ???”
“I was looking for a chicken coop that was advertised in their flyer and I called my local store which is in the Pittsburgh Mills and they said they just sold the last one that they had but they were so kind and I never even asked. They just said how about if we call in Monroeville or another location and see if they’re available and they did and it was available in Monroeville. They truly did more than any other employee in retail fantastic job guys.”
“My first visit to this amazing little shop. They have anything you could possibly want in miniatures. I had a delightful time perusing this shop. I bought a few very nice pieces while there. It’s conveniently located in Aspinwall near Pittsburgh and parking on the street right in front of the shop or accross the street in a lot.”
“Ever since the Needoh and squishy craze, this place has been insanely busy. The staff are very pleasant and always answers everyone's questions with a smile. My only recommendation would be is to limit the amount of the customers in the store as some are completely insane grabbing squishy toys off the shelf and shoving their way through the crowded store. Other than that, you can 100% tell the staff are very accommodating to their customers.”
“The last time I walked into this wonderful toy store was between 2000-2002. The memories are so strong. I was downtown this afternoon for brunch with my partner and had a spontaneous memory Of visiting this place, so we decided to go check it out again.
Walking in, the memories from being here 23 years ago Instantaneously flooded back into my mind. The place has changed very little and it is such a gorgeous building. There is such an EXPANSIVE inventory of toys here- modern and a Few hidden vintage finds- toys you won’t be able to find in any retail space within 100 miles of here. The employee Lauren shared with me that there were approximately 20 to 30,000 different SKUs as of 2002- She has no idea how many excuses there are today in 2026, but we can only estimate there are likely double that amount. Occasionally, you will run across a product that has a SKU number that doesn’t even work in the system anymore. A coloring book that was sold 25 years ago.
This is a Pittsburgh gem, a true staple. I hope to goodness it stays around for as long as humanly possible. The original owner Was still there to greet us in the back of the store and on the second floor I spoke with an employee Lauren, who was so wonderful to me. She shared her experiences working there, She shared the history of the building, and allowed me an opportunity to see certain floors of the building I’ve never seen before. I want to thank Lauren and commend her for her excellent customer service. This is my first time back in the store in 25 years and The one hour experience I had there today is a memory that will last me a lifetime (just the same as the memories I hold visiting here as a child)
The Pittsburgh community needs to do more to support this business. It is a treasure that is worth preserving for another century to come”
“I have been working with Birdbrain products for many years. From the very first time I was introduced to them at a PD session, the company’s staff have been outgoing, friendly, and supportive. I have used the products to teach children and well as adults. Each and every time I use the products with students/adults, I know they are reliable and will last. The Hummingbird and Finch hold their charge, the parts are durable, and I rarely have any issues. If and when something goes awry (which is a rarity), the company’s technical support is as reliable and dependable as their products.”
“This location was really lovely. The employees were all very helpful, and Colton made the experience special for my little cousin, who was originally nervous. She can't wait to come again!”
“Despite lower reviews, our eight-year-old daughter LOVED this game store. Toys of all kinds are packed inside from stuffed animals to coloring books to science kits. In the front is a shelf for you to leave drinks and food to help keep the store clean. Prices range from low to expensive depending on what you want.”
“We took our daughter to pick a new friend for her 6th birthday on Nov 1st, and it was a wonderful experience! Thank you to Soren Allen and Jason for making our daughter feel special while there was a birthday party going on and typical Saturday crowds! She loves her new friend!”
“I had a very positive experience at this shop. Their products are pretty and unique. It also has a meaningful history, with a small section explaining it, and feels special compared to chain stores. I bought a science-themed gift from it, and the cashier was very nice.”
“I absolutely Love this wonderful little gem of a store! Shadyside is very lucky to have this beautiful toy store, for ALL ages. Everytime I walk in there, whether I’m buying things for my grandkids or friends, I feel like a kid 😉👌🏼”

“Accidentally went to this Dollar Tree thinking my GPS was taking me to the other one I usually go to, and was pleasantly surprised. The staff were really nice, the store was well maintained and they had a crazy good selection of stuff I needed to restock on and things I hadn't seen hit the DT shelves yet. One of my new favorites 💖 shout-out to my elder millennial cashier (same tho lol) you were amazing.”
“I really like this toy store. It has a phenomenal selection of toys. Pity, though, it's not easy to get there on the Pittsburgh Light Rail. The owner is a kind soul and the world needs more people like him. I really wish we had a toy store like this in Philadelphia.”
“went in for some pokemon cards and was met by Mike, the manager. very relaxed and knowledgeable guy, knows the store inside and out. the gamestops interior is really unique, given that some of the stuff is Mike’s personal belongings. it adds a nice personal touch, doesn’t make it feel as much of a soulless corporate entity like Gamestop usually is”
“This location has such an amazing stuff. Everytime I walk in I get greeted and the conversations are always informative and amazing. They are always busy but make time to answer any questions I might have. This Gamestop is the best one on earth.”
“Great place and fun selection of books! Just taking 1 star off because of the truly puzzling decision to lock what was basically the front door. I can understand if there was some shoplifting issue or something, but why the doors near the children’s area? That side of the building has the most people due to facing other storefronts and the shopping center’s main parking lot. They now want people to walk around to the basically deserted part of the shopping mall, with nothing but the PF Chang, basically no foot traffic at all. If you were say at the Five Below or Panera and then wanted to check out the bookstore for impulse shopping or something, you have to walk around. It’s a thing you have to really think to do, since there’s really nothing on the back area of Settlers Ridge. I just don’t understand. Why not keep the children’s area doors open and the back area locked? I think the management decision is making this bookstore lose business and inconvenience potential customers.”
