1070 Smith Road, Port MatildaI can’t say enough wonderful things about Dr. Olson at Halfmoon Valley Animal Hospital. She has been caring for both my cats and dogs for the past four years, and during that time we have navigated everything from routine care to chronic illnesses and the heartbreaking process of euthanasia.
Through all of it, Dr. Olson has consistently been compassionate, patient, and genuinely caring. If I had to choose just one word to describe her demeanor, it would be kind. In my 40 years of having animals, she is quite honestly the kindest veterinarian I have ever encountered.
She has cared for my animals with such compassion and treated me with the same kindness and understanding, especially during some very difficult moments. I am incredibly grateful to have had her caring for my animals over the past four years. I would wholeheartedly recommend Dr. Olson to anyone looking for a veterinarian who truly cares about both the animals and the people who love them.

My dog started struggling with anxiety and reactivity after we moved here from Philadelphia and Ethan worked with us and completely turned things around. He understands dog behavior and reactivity training, and built an approach specific to Waffles’ triggers. Within a relatively short time, Waffles was noticeably calmer on walks and at home around new stimuli.
Ethan was also just wonderful to work with — patient, kind, and genuinely invested in Waffles’ progress the whole way through. If you’re dealing with a reactive or anxious dog, especially after a move or big change, this is the place to go. Professional, knowledgeable, and I now have the skills and tools to keep helping Waffles going forward. It’s made everyday walks and life at home so much more enjoyable.

30 Tld Circle, Port MatildaVery nervous about leaving my 2 dogs for first time. Staff exceptional, kennels are inside/outside and if you want your dogs to play with others? Just ask. Reasonable prices...I won't hesitate to leave them again.
