“Went to Home Depot today and was amazed at their selection of home remodeling stuff they had compared to Lowe's. Every department I went to had someone right there to help. Not one time did I have to look for someone to help me. Dan in the lighting dept. Jeff and Tina helped in the bath dept. and Todd helped us in the pro dept. checking out. Lowes might offer a little better discount, but customer service was hands down a 10+. I will always drive over the mountain to shop here!Ps. Every department I passed someone was there to ask if I needed help! Not many stores like this any more.”

“Great service and shop for sewing supplies and vacuum repairs. I'm so glad to able to extend the life of my machines and support a unique local business! Vacuum runs like new again. If I ever need to buy a new vacuum I'll be going here too.”

“Lowes Home Improvement has always been good for me. I am X-military and they give me a 10% discount on my purchases. In addition, the service is great and the store in Orangeburg NY is well-laid out and convenient. I would recommend Lowes all the time over their competitors. Lowes has great employees who value their association with Lowes.”

“Always friendly staff, usually knowledgeable about the products they carry. If they're not, they know who is. We buy our cell phones here and insure them through total tech. While I would say their prices are a bit higher than elsewhere, they make up for this by selection and knowledge (ensuring you buy the right thing the first time), as well as device protection plans that are often useful. Their repair service is excellent, and has repaired my laptop on more than 1 occasion, extending its life.”

“Home Depot and Lowes are across the street from each other but what sets the two apart is the level of customer service. On many occasions, I have price shopped while deciding on large projects and will visit both stores to compare. At Home Depot, my wait time is usually 10 minutes before someone arrives to assist. At Lowes, if I do have to wait, it is because someone is already assisting another customer but has acknowledged my need and asked if I would like them to call for immediate assistance (I usually opt to wait, it's a tool store, I can hang out for a few minutes). For this reason alone, I choose Lowes for all my home project needs unless they are out of stock.”
