“I’m from out of town. Came 3 hours early due to trip plans changing. Joe M greeted me immediately and said he would do his best to accommodate me. He ended up going out of his way to get me in and get me into a new driver. Super informative and fun to talk to. It’s not even close this is far and away the absolute best experience I’ve ever had with a golf store of any kind! Thanks Joe!”
“Best tackle store in the area by far. The guys working there are extremely helpful and nice. Doesn't matter what species you're going after, they have everything you need. And more. Can't say enough good things about this place”
“The one and only running store you need! Best service, great selection and the friendliest people (staff & run club alike!) you could hope for! Highly recommended without reservation”
“Dealt with both Nick and Jason on two separate visits. Both are knowledgeable and very helpful! Very pleasant experience! A lot of people think of going to the big box stores for sneakers, at The Running Place you get much better service and the sneakers are the same price! They have a nice selection of sneakers and they can also order sneakers they may not have in store! Return policy is exceptional!!! Highly recommend!!!”
“The BEST customer service! Everyone was so helpful, knowledgeable and flexible. Sam helped me with everything and didn’t make me feel rushed. She was great with my littles that I had to bring along with me. It was an incredible experience! Will definitely go back!”
“Just went here over the weekend for my sons soccer gear and was very happy with both the prices, the select products and the salespeople were also very helpful and nice. Walked out with everything i needed for $55 not bad at all!”
“Great selection and very helpful staff. I demoed a few different racquets over a few days to see which I liked playing with and then bought my favorite. It was strung the same day of purchase too! Bought it in the morning and picked it up that afternoon. Park in the lot around the corner and behind the store. Parking in front gets congested.”
“Each time I visit Motions, I am greeted and immediately asked if I need some help. Regardless of the time of the year, the staff makes you feel like your purchase deserves their attention.”
“I had taken my Mother to see Mr. Hugh Gbewonyo for unbalanced gait and severe painful arthritis. He greeted her with kindness and was very professional. After scanning her foot he explained what was happening to her anatomically as she walks. He custom designed orthotics and appropriate footwear. She felt "like she had new feet" and could not thank him enough for the support and encouraging words. God bless this young man. P.s. he has a newspaper article posted that further speaks of his skill and his journey into this field. Thank you Mr. Gbewonya.”
“My students traveled from Hershey, PA to receive top-notch attention from Swan Dance Wear knowledgeable and encouraging team. Determined to find the perfect first pair of pointe shoe for each dancer, they left no stone unturned. The staff's positivity and expertise made the entire experience uplifting and memorable. Every dancer found their ideal match and is looking forward to their new journey!”
“Cool store! I have been here to have items printed multiple times and they have always done a great job. The turn around time is quick and the owner and the staff are very professional and personable. I highly recommend Custom Creations for printing needs!”
“I visited Born To Run in October 2024, after a coworker recommended I check out the store while I was looking for a new pair of running shoes. With Hilary’s (and her sweet dog’s!) help, I bought a pair of Saucony Triumphs. Now that I’ve put some mileage on them over the past months, I’m ready to leave a review.
Having just started running in March 2024 and moving to Philadelphia from out of state in August 2024, it’s safe to say that I had absolutely no idea what I was looking for in a new pair of running shoes. My visit to Hilary’s store was my first time buying a pair of running shoes—before that, I’d just been using my all-around walking shoes. Hilary was generous enough to share her time, knowledge, and expertise with me. First, she had me do a running test to figure out where my feet were striking the ground. Then, she gathered an assortment of many shoes, and guided me through trying them on. She even educated me about shoe sizing—and I learned that I’d be better off wearing a half size smaller than I was previously used to. I landed on a pair of Saucony Triumphs. Throughout the process, Hilary was friendly and kind. When she learned I’d just moved to Philadelphia from out of state, she even recommended some local running groups I could get involved with to help me find a sense of community with other runners in the area.
Months later, after having run in the Saucony Triumphs for a while, I’m quite happy with my purchase. The shoes took a while to break in, but once broken in, they transitioned into a smooth ride. I’ve been especially pleased with Hilary’s recommendation to go a half size down from what I’d normally wear. I’ve never been known for my athleticism—I’m pretty clumsy and can tend to wobble a bit while running. I’ve found, though, that the half size smaller shoes hold a bit tighter to my foot—while still giving them enough space to breathe—and helps to stabilize me while I’m running. That was quite the pleasant surprise!
All around, I was thoroughly happy with my experience working with Hilary at Born To Run. While I’ve since moved back to the state I originally moved to Philadelphia from, I would support Born To Run again in a heartbeat if I still lived in the area. Keep up the great work, Hilary—you helped this new runner find his way about the trail, and that’s much appreciated!”
“Streamlight definitely has some of the best customer service around. Thank you for making the warranty process on my tlr6 such an easy process. I own several Streamlight products and this was my first very small issue and it was handled extremely professionally. “Great selection. Staff is very friendly and helpful. They fit my daughter with a chest guard and made her feel comfortable. New equipment Prices were comparable to play it again sports.”
“The building could use some upgrades but it was a fun atmosphere. The selection of bowling balls was limited so it's best to bring your bowling ball. Despite these shortcomings, the acoustics were great, and the lanes worked and were clean.”
“Love the layout of the new store, was able to find exactly what I wanted very easily. I especially want to commend the staff, Michael helped me and he brought a wonderful energy!”
“Excellent!! The sale person went above and beyond to get my teen fit in the right trainer for his flat, wide, big feet and the shoe just happened to be on sale! We had ordered a back up pair before we went in from the big "A" but returned it & will be returning to Bryn Mawr for cleats and 2nd pair of trainers. If you need help with fit and figuring out which type running shoe you need come here. Also it was highly recommended by son's HS track coaches.”
“Many options, good service, and good prices!
I never have problems finding things! And when I am asking for help finding things I’ll always have a helping hand!”
“Maddie was great for my beginner! She sized her up and gave her great advice and was so patient and kind! Has the best time and we are excited for this new adventure. Definitely will be back!”
“I usually need a new pair of running shoes every two years or so, and Valley Forge Running Co. is the only place I will go for a replacement pair. I have never had anything but great experiences at both locations. The staff is very knowledgeable, friendly, and passionate about running and running gear.”
“The customer service was exemplary. From the young lady who gave us a warm welcome, the 2 young men that helped us with our selection, the associate who blessed us with a discount ?, and the pleasant cashier. Sadiq (i may have spelled his name wrong) but he was very helpful and knowledgeable. ????????”
“Great idea selling stuff second hand for those who can't afford brand new stuff. Very helpful. I was amazed at how big the place was and how much stuff they had. All decent equipment. In great condition.”
“I visited Valley Forge Running Company in Collegeville and worked with Jim, who was so helpful and made the whole experience of finding the right shoes pleasant. I left with what I felt were really the right fitting shoes for me. He was very attentive and even had some good advice and taught me a few things about shoes that will make a huge difference in how I wear them and my resulting comfort.”
“Online order and picked it up. No problems. If you're into local college and pro teams, they have a ton of stuff for many teams! The store is packed with merchandise!”
“I come to Ralley House KOP every year and I was blown away this year. Specifically at the amazing customer service on the floor and at checkout! Sincere and Mahogany helped me find everything I was looking for and even went out of their way to call Collegeville to inquire about an item for me! I cannot wait to be back next year and I wish Sincere and Majogany all the best!”
“carries everything a figure skater and a hockey player would require. Due to its rinkside location, it is very convenient. The hours can be quite flexible depending on the schedule.”
“I had my raquet restrung at Tennis Essentials and what a difference. The balls would fly without too much effort. I highly recommend Tennis Essentials if you want your game to improve and the service is stellar.”
“I witness a group of women being unruly and returning items with no receipt and strong odor. Store policy mandates they are not to be accepted and this group of unruly women started yelling and screaming profanities and accusing employees of being racist - which was a total lie. These poor employees should not have to deal with this type of criminals. I called 911 for them and hope the police were able to help the employees. They are simply not paid enough to deal with these nonsense. Lululemon should hire securities for certain stores. The crimes in surburban Philadelphia stores are out of control. I ordered the merchandise online for pick up thinking I could avoid being in the midst of a robbery but it was happening in front of my eyes. Those were most likely stolen goods to be returned. 7pm at Suburban Square!! I would be ordering online and shipping to home from now on. It was terrifying. I feel for the employees.”
“I've never even seen a game of Lacrosse so felt a bit lost. Chris, the manager, held my hand (figuratively) through the whole process of getting my 11 year old set up. Appreciate the help!”
“Out There has a great selection of outdoor apparel and accessories, many of which are hard to find elsewhere in the greater Philadelphia area. The staff is always friendly and helpful, and there’s a dog. Can’t ask for much more. Prices are competitive and there are several annual sales. One of my favorite stores in the region.”
