“I had taken my Mother to see Mr. Hugh Gbewonyo for unbalanced gait and severe painful arthritis. He greeted her with kindness and was very professional. After scanning her foot he explained what was happening to her anatomically as she walks. He custom designed orthotics and appropriate footwear. She felt "like she had new feet" and could not thank him enough for the support and encouraging words. God bless this young man. “I visited Born To Run in October 2024, after a coworker recommended I check out the store while I was looking for a new pair of running shoes. With Hilary’s (and her sweet dog’s!) help, I bought a pair of Saucony Triumphs. Now that I’ve put some mileage on them over the past months, I’m ready to leave a review.
Having just started running in March 2024 and moving to Philadelphia from out of state in August 2024, it’s safe to say that I had absolutely no idea what I was looking for in a new pair of running shoes. My visit to Hilary’s store was my first time buying a pair of running shoes—before that, I’d just been using my all-around walking shoes. Hilary was generous enough to share her time, knowledge, and expertise with me. First, she had me do a running test to figure out where my feet were striking the ground. Then, she gathered an assortment of many shoes, and guided me through trying them on. She even educated me about shoe sizing—and I learned that I’d be better off wearing a half size smaller than I was previously used to. I landed on a pair of Saucony Triumphs. Throughout the process, Hilary was friendly and kind. When she learned I’d just moved to Philadelphia from out of state, she even recommended some local running groups I could get involved with to help me find a sense of community with other runners in the area.
Months later, after having run in the Saucony Triumphs for a while, I’m quite happy with my purchase. The shoes took a while to break in, but once broken in, they transitioned into a smooth ride. I’ve been especially pleased with Hilary’s recommendation to go a half size down from what I’d normally wear. I’ve never been known for my athleticism—I’m pretty clumsy and can tend to wobble a bit while running. I’ve found, though, that the half size smaller shoes hold a bit tighter to my foot—while still giving them enough space to breathe—and helps to stabilize me while I’m running. That was quite the pleasant surprise!
All around, I was thoroughly happy with my experience working with Hilary at Born To Run. While I’ve since moved back to the state I originally moved to Philadelphia from, I would support Born To Run again in a heartbeat if I still lived in the area. Keep up the great work, Hilary—you helped this new runner find his way about the trail, and that’s much appreciated!”

“Excellent pro shop! I got refitted for a new ball after a LONG break from bowling and also had an old ball plugged/redrilled with the new specs. Steve is super nice, eager to nerd out on bowling and an extremely knowledgable PSO which is exactly what we need to keep this sport going. We figured out what I needed out of a ball, he gave me several options and price points that were all very reasonable. He's also been super helpful after the sale with some minor adjustments right then and there after I rolled a few with my new gear. My fit has been great so far and my game has improved almost instantly, it's amazing how much better bowling is with the right fit and the right ball. Green's is definitely on my list as a go-to, don't hesitate to check him out!”

“Excellent!! The sale person went above and beyond to get my teen fit in the right trainer for his flat, wide, big feet and the shoe just happened to be on sale! We had ordered a back up pair before we went in from the big "A" but returned it & will be returning to Bryn Mawr for cleats and 2nd pair of trainers. If you need help with fit and figuring out which type running shoe you need come here. Also it was highly recommended by son's HS track coaches.”
“The building could use some upgrades but it was a fun atmosphere. The selection of bowling balls was limited so it's best to bring your bowling ball. Despite these shortcomings, the acoustics were great, and the lanes worked and were clean.”

“I want to congratulate whoever hires and trains the staff here. I've never experienced better customer service, and, at 70, I've been shopping for decades. I came in with a friend who was coat shopping. While I was there, I figured I'd try to find straight legged spandex pants similar to the Lululemon pants I've been wearing for years but that have been discontinued. Madison immediately understood what I needed and did everything necessary to make that happen for me. And it wasn't easy. She ended up having to order them from another store, after trying to find a pair in the store, and online, and striking out both times. But she kept on it and made it happen. And honestly when she succeeded she seemed just as happy about it as I was. EVERY SINGLE STAFF MEMBER I encountered as I tried clothing on and asked for different colors and sizes was helpful, caring and well-informed. And unlike some clothing stores with a younger vibe, even though I'm a senior, I felt welcomed and appreciated.”

“Going, Going, Gone in King of Prussia is definitely worth a stop if you’re hunting for deals on name-brand sports and casual gear. It’s one of those outlet-style stores where the stock changes all the time, so it’s kind of like a treasure hunt each visit. You’ll find everything from sneakers and golf apparel to workout clothes, team hats, and random sports accessories. Prices are usually marked down pretty heavily, and if you catch the right timing, you can score some big-name items at a fraction of the original cost. The layout is straightforward, and it’s easy to browse without feeling overcrowded. Staff is friendly but mostly keep out of your way, which I actually like when bargain shopping. It’s located near plenty of restaurants and shopping in the King of Prussia area, so it’s convenient to make it part of a day out. Great spot if you love hunting for solid deals!”

“I came here looking for used hockey gear - stick, skates, and pads. The staff greeted me and helped us out as if they were our personal helpers. There was one guy who gave us tips and tricks to find the right gear to suit playing style and frequency, and spent easily half an hour working closely with us. On one piece of gear, a tab was missing. He found a spare and took the time to install it for us. The store sharpened and baked the skates, which was super helpful. They even wrapped the new-to-us stick. The store was filled with gear, it was clean, and we got served better than I expected. Exceeded expectations all around.”

“Out There has a great selection of outdoor apparel and accessories, many of which are hard to find elsewhere in the greater Philadelphia area. The staff is always friendly and helpful, and there’s a dog. Can’t ask for much more. Prices are competitive and there are several annual sales. One of my favorite stores in the region.”
