I thought I then had to go up front to check out but she told me I could check out right there. (That was a relief). I will definitely go back for Cynthia’s help!!”

“I'm from out of town (Baltimore, MD) Don't set fire to my post...Lol..I needed slacks as soon as I got back home and wouldn't have time to not only shop but get them hemmed and tailored. Wallie took care of me in less than 30 minutes. I was out the door with 2 pairs of nice Italian pants for a fair price. Who knows...Wallie and I may have started the beginning of mending the two cities! Great store. Definitely recommend.”

From the very beginning, Joseph Orlando was receptive to the idea and worked through the different options and the best way to get us all measured and tailored so we were looking sharp. He even worked with multiple members of the wedding party that lived half the country away to ensure they got a perfect suit for our big day. I can’t thank him and the store enough, they were great to work with and we all ended up with a great looking new suit rather than the sloppy rentals from the big box stores. “Johnny is the sharpest dresser I know. I’ve been purchasing suits from him since 2018 and have always been taken care of better than any other brand or store in the Pittsburgh area. It’s more than measurements and fitting. It’s about the experience and the “why” the suit is needed. We got into a 20 minutes discussion on how a fabric will “drape” (hang) as I’m wearing it and how selecting the right fabric for the occasion. How to avoid bunching, which is a problem for me cause of my wide shoulders.Johnny is a MASTER of his craft! Period. “What a great store! As an avid men’s clothing aficionado, I could spend all day in here. There are tons of high-quality clothes for amazingly low prices. I found a pair of pleated vintage wool Brook’s Brothers slacks that are impossible to find. Left with those and a pair of seersuckers. The owner is super-friendly and helpful…even after I knocked down an entire shelf of product *sad trumpet*. Can’t wait to come back next time I’m in town!”

“I really liked this Hot Topic. They had an interesting selection, better than other locations I visited, but what stood out was the staff. They were really into their jobs and this one lady working there was awesome. She was talking with me about interesting horror genre stuff and I really got along with her, also she pointed out some neat vampire shirts to me. She told me about what the store was selling without being overly pushy about it, which I appreciate, unlike some other store's sales associates are at that mall. I don't remember what her name was but I really hope they promote her or something there, what a really cool person.”

“My wife and I kept hearing about Annex PGH through friends and decided to check it out. I usually get a little nervous about entering cool little boutiques because I am nervous I will not see anything I like and have to awkwardly make conversation and leave without buying anything. I must say, this boutique is different! Both Lauren and Jason (the owners) are so welcoming and kind, they make you feel like old friends. Walking in was like a breath of fresh air, it is bright and decorated very well. The clothing is fashionable and comfortable and they sell many different items that my wife said she has not been able to find outside of NYC. I bought a pack made by a company from Colorado (Topo Designs) and get compliments on it all the time. I also bought an Annex PGH t-shirt that is my absolute favorite. It is so comfortable that I wish I would have bought two. Since our first visit, my wife has returned many times and loves the style of clothing she finds there. On her last visit, she bought a jean jacket and very comfortable top, she has worn both several times since getting them so she must like them :) Honestly, even if you don't want to buy anything, just going in to meet Lauren and Jason is worth it. They are very knowledgeable about the city and will recommend a good place to eat or a cool place to get a drink. They also support the local community which is very cool. While I was in there, I overheard them recommend a different shop to a customer that was unable to find what she was looking for in theirs. Supporting people like that makes the whole city a better place. Go check out Annex PGH, it is a true Pittsburgh gem!”

“I was looking for a particular type of dress that I needed for a wedding I'm going to. I called, and during the conversation he said he did have similar type. Then he mentioned that I could text him the picture and he'll check in the store. I did, but he didn't have it. However, he also sent me few pictures of others that were similar. Though I didn't buy anything, the fact that he voluntarily offered help and made effort to look for what I needed just from a random phone call is noteworthy.Hence 5 stars.”
