I specifically liked the options for different calligraphy pens and the variety in sketch books there, I got a lot of my school supplies there (and personal stuff too) because the stuff was really high quality. I do a lot of art so that’s where I got a lot of the things I have today.”

However, good luck finding the place. Don't use Google Maps and visuals at the same time. We went around in circles trying to find a place. We ended up parking underground and walked from there. We weren't close at all based on Google Maps.”
“Always love coming here. The only thing is I wish the romance section was a bit more orderly, like separating the LGBTQ+ authors/genres from the straight stuff. Looking for LGBTQ romance/dark romance is impossible unless you already have people's names to look up..
Also, same for Yaoi... Wish there was a section dedicated to yaoi/BL instead of spending an hour looking through the whole manga section hoping to find something new.
But place is always super friendly and helpful and quick. I go there legit every week, of only to browse and indulge in my little day-off ritual ❤

A carefully curated selection of English books—bestsellers, literary, literary light, graphic novels, cooking, kids, and a focus on Montreal and Judaica (eg a graphic novel about Leonard Cohen.) “I think I went to this location (it was in the Metro station, so it may have been the one two blocks away). Great store—not just books in several languages (mostly French, but has English, plus a few other languages). Vinyl, DVDs, games and puzzles, etc etc. Just a lot of fun. Very helpful and knowledgeable staff directed me to the right area.
But for and American visitor, the prices of books in Canada is shocking! I bought a French. Edition of a Harry Potter book, paper back. I did not even look at the price. But when I got home and glanced at the receipt I thought there was an error. So I looked at the book and saw that it was, in fact, the price: CAD$59. OMG. That’s about US$43. For a paper back copy of Harry Potter! The book has a List Price in EUR of 30, which is about USD35, so it’s was probably an import or something. Note, this has nothing to do with Renault-Bray, and everything to do with the way the publishing industry works in Canada and Europe. I can get a French version of HP from Amazon for USD15! So, not my best purchase, but I learned a lesson. Anyway, great and fun store, and if you’re a visitor to Canada, a great place to find some meaningful souvenirs. (But you can still skip the tchotchkes made in China!)”
