“With the hustle and bustle of the holiday season upon us, the last thing you need is to arrive at a store just as they’re locking the doors to close. But, then you get a lucky break, a sort of gift of good will, when the lady locking the door sees the dismayed look on your face, and the faces of 4 other customers all approaching said door, and she unlocks it, opens the door wide, smiles at all of us and says “come on in!”That is what I just experienced at my local UPS Store on Mendon Rd in Cumberland, RI. There were at at least 4-5 people working, and every single one of them was smiling and helping to get us all set and on our way. The lady who waited on me was so pleasant, it was clear she knew that customer service starts with a smile and a kind gesture. I believe her name was Irene. I am so very grateful! “It’s started as a random google search in the early evening hours looking for the nearest UPS location that carry boxes big enough to fit in a printer of 18x24x19 ( WxDxH) weighted 60pounds. I found Pigeon Post in Attleboro. I called and spoke with a gentleman, I proceeded to described what I needed and he suggested that I come in person to the store right away; but it was early in the evening so I settled in to go first thing in the morning instead. Once I got there, the experience took a turn for the better. George was very attentive, customer service at its best and more importantly kindness and efficiency were in full display throughout. Knowledge is everywhere, the issue is some people know how to share it better than others. In business is not about making money its rather know how not to lose money. If you are in need of the type of service they're offering, I would advise that you stop by and wouldn't be disappointed.”

“My poor mother and grandmother had to have a verification of address for a company that helps the elderly with their gas. Sadly they received a poor image of the address they needed. can you imagine such a scenario? In a desperate move they came to this location to help print out a legible document. Mom told me they were the most amazing people who gave it their best shot. These folks were patient with my family who are seriously technically uninformed. Thankfully it was a happy ending. Whatever magic that needed to happen worked and my grandmother was approved the help she desperately needed. Thank you so much. My mom told me the whole saga this morning. “Really excellent local library. All of the amenities of a modern library (computers, scanners, etc.) but still has the cozy feel of a small old school library. Great selection of books alongside Blu-rays, DVDs, and CDs, and more. (Would love a greater video game selection! But they do have Knack™!)Great space just to get out of the house and enjoy a calm space to work or unwind.”

They always advise me on the best methods and packaging to ship my items, and deliver service with a smile. Most importantly, they are open most of the time when you would need to mail a package. So instead of driving to the other UPS Store, which appears abandoned, come here instead and ship your stuff with efficiency!”

“I bought a desk chair wand the protection plan from Staples. It broke a year later. Who saves their receipts for a year?..The process was exhaustive. Very difficult BUT Megan at the from desk was incredibly helpful. She hung with me during the whole process, helping me whenever she could which was often. I got a new chair but would have givem up if it wasn't for Megan. You have a valuable employee and should reward her accordingly.”

“I’ve been to this location more than a dozen times. Depending on when you go, the staff are extremely busy and do the best they can. Early in the morning and before they close are the busiest times I have found. While some might be preoccupied, the majority of them are extremely helpful, and are always doing their best to support the customers. Many of them go out of their way to tape the boxes, and to put the packages together for the customers. I personally go out of my way and utilize this location most because I find them to be most helpful.”

“On Monday, 11/27/2023, I arrived at FedEx Office before closing (7:00 pm), but I missed the last pickup time (5:00 pm). I really wanted to get my package to its destination by the next day. The woman at the counter was very understanding and courteous. She directed me to the closest FedEx shipping facility that could still get my package to its destination by Tuesday. Everyone I have encountered is helpful and nice which is hard to find on a consistent basis at most public establishments! I want to give a shout out to Ruby she is sooooo kind and helpful. I went in today and Ruby was so cheerful and helped we with 4 returns I had including three that needed packaging. In the process of reaching in my bag of returns I cut my finger on my packing tape roll and she even gave me a bandaid! Her customer service is outstanding and all with a smile. Thank you!”

“I was out of town at a business show and realized that I had left my business cards at home. The show was to start at 3:30 PM. I went into the Staples store in Providence, RI. The young man said let's look at what you need. After sending him the format that I needed he said we can do that. I said the show is today at 3:30 and it was 9:00 AM. He said we can have the business cards ready by 2:00 PM. Well guess what, they were ready by 1:00 PM. The customer service, product quality, and price I got were unbeatable.”
