The other coaches here like Coach Jameson, Coach Ewing, and Coach Cam have been encouraging me and pushing me so I can reach my goals. I am so grateful for this opportunity to workout for free and be surrounded by great company and people that will push me to be better. All the coaches teach to put in the same work that you put into the gym, into every aspect of your life. I remember one of the first things coach Mike told me was “how you do one thing is how you do everything.” That has stuck with me and I’m truly grateful for all that they put into this program!”
“I have been to the alot of the other anytime fitness gyms in Rhode Island and anytime fitness bristol is by far the cleanest gym. The bathrooms are in great shape and the gym equipment is in good condition. Overall it's a good atmosphere and the owners are very nice. I definitely recommend going to this anytime fitness over any other one in road island!”

“My boyfriend and I spent a month in Newport and we wanted a place to workout. We found Pulse gym on the first day. We never looked back. The coaches are done if the best I have ever seen. Ann Marie and Liz's classes will work you harder than many others like Orangetheory and F45 and are fast moving and fun! They are both awesome instructor/trainers. Owner Jacki has created an environment with great equipment in a well laid out space. Other gyms could learn something from this local gem... I mean gym..”
“STF is the best gym I have joined. I have been a member for 15 years. I love Zumba & muscles in motion. There is a full schedule for each month, which includes specialty classes. They have a spin room, an aerobics room, locker rooms, etc. It is very clean & the owners always keep up the gym. There is plenty of parking, which makes it easy to drive up & run in. There is towel service & childcare for those who need it. Ryan makes the best protein shakes. The team & owners are the best ! It is also very affordable. They have other locations in Dartmouth & Bristol. Take my review seriously & start working out at STF.”

I didn't even know what a burpee was and was nervous I wouldn't be able to do anything . But I showed up every day . I couldn't do everything , but there were accommodations. I never felt like I didn't belong . 6 years later I have lost 40lbs and kept it off , I am stronger and healthier than ever, my two daughters have joined me , and I have gained some of the best friends I have from this gym. The COMMUNITY this gym offers is like no other . The trainer is ok too lol . If you're looking to become the best version of you this is the place ! It's NOT just a ninja gym.”

“Started with an introduction class to Buti yoga. Heather is amazing!!! No class has ever kept my interest however, this one did!!! Heater makes me feel like I am doing an outstanding job and is so encouraging and knowledgeable. Wish she had more classes!!!!”

On and off for a few years but finally developed some consistency about 2 years ago.While Jonathan's dedication to his craft of PT stands out, it's the environment in the gym that he created (and nowadays his staff maintains) that separates them from others. Everyone there is dedicated to the product and personable to all different types of people and personalities.Personal training sessions are in groups (about 4 people/session). This layout has naturally created a community within the gym. People who I've met for the first time eventually become friendly familiar faces - people who encourage and uplift each other.The staff on top of Personal Training offers a library-like selection of books that a client can check out. These books range anywhere from Expertise in personal fitness to growth in personal financial development, personal spirituality etc. There's a reason why the business is "Best Self" health & fitness - the resources are there to not only grow in fitness but in any facet of personal development you want - encouraging you to discover and grow into the best version of yourself.I've grown a lot the last few years in physical shape, as well as mentally, emotionally and professionally, and I believe meeting Jonathan and his staff -and consistently working on my physical health in this gym - is the root of that growth.If you're in any kind of a rut (physically, mentally etc) I suggest and recommend you give them a call - it will only lead to good things.-AG”
“Really like our local gym. They have all the tools needed for a good workout. Great locker rooms and a Sauna. 4 star rating is only due to the age of some of the weight training machines some are old and could use newer more ergonomically correct machines.”

I like that the women have a place where they can work out without men being around but if we want, we can go downstairs and work out with the men as well. I think they need to brighten up the place up a little bit. Well, "a lot a bit". it's kind of dark and dingy. Also a little more expensive than most places. With that price, they SHOULD have a swimming pool but they DON'T. Then again I'd be afraid the swimming pool would be as dark and dingy as the rest of the place.”
“I had my bachelorette party in Newport and wanted to do a workout class. I reached out to Kathy at elevate fitness and she got back to me right away to schedule a private workout class. The class was a fast paced total body workout that included the treadmill, bike, tower and weights that could be modified to the various fitness levels of my bridesmaids. Kathy's coaching style was perfect for our group - she pushed us to work harder and motivate us, but was extremely personable. We had a great time, worked up a sweat and got to finish the class with mimosas. If I lived near the studio I would definitely attend fitness classes at elevate on a regular weekly basis!”

Nowadays, everything is packed. Bullfrog is a clean, private space to focus and get the best out of your workouts. PLUS the infrared sauna. That in itself is worth the membership.”

From the moment that I arrived, I felt like this was the place for me to get rid of my "Dad Bod" and start feeling good about myself again. 6 weeks later and I am well on my way. I can genuinely give credit to Powerr Fitness. Yes, I was the one that needed to actually get off the couch and "just do it" but Powerr Fitness gave me that motivation that I desperately needed. Specifically, Rob Read ( owner/lead trainer), catered the workouts so that I would have some early success but at the same time he pushed the envelope and took me outside of my comfort zone. If you are in the need for some motivation and want to cut some weight or simply tone that dad/mom bod then this is the place for you. Looking forward to meeting some of you during the future workouts. Summer is coming!!!”
“Nice facility, many different pieces of equipment from free weights, machines, to cardio...really everything you need for a great gym. Staff is friendly. Showers and lockers on site. I bought day passes as I was in town for the holidays. 10 bucks with a member and 15 if you go in alone. Definitely recommend and I'll be back next time I'm in town.”

“Barrington fitness is a great gym that features state of the art Keiser fitness equipment.this equipment utilizes pneumatic technology creating a safer,smoother, and more efficient workout.Barrington Fitness is the only gym I've ever been to that has this level of equipment.The facility features a wide array of machines that are expertley implemented by a world class training staff, that calls this gym home. The gym itself is always kept clean, and provides a welcoming enviornment to workout in. I would highly recommend the gym to people of all ages and levels of fitness.”

“The gym is awesome! But the personal trainer with the nose piercing likes to fat shame people while they are working out! Literally laughed out loud at me and possibly took a picture of me! Not cool. The other trainers are polite and friendly.”
