Once Upon A Child is a place to find new or gently used kids clothing, shoes, and so much more, from swimwear and baby strollers to toys and winter jackets. Many find it a great way to get rid of kids' stuff easily and a nice place for frugal shoppers conscious about saving the planet through reuse. Shoppers report that everything is good quality, sorted by size, and that it is possible to find certified bargains, allowing them to get more for half the price. However, experiences vary significantly. While many describe friendly, helpful, and lovely staff, others find the staff utterly rude and unpleasant. Critical reviews state that when buying clothes from customers, the process can feel ruthless, with low buy-back offers for items deemed to have stains or poor quality, despite the customer's care. Some also note that everything in the shop can smell like musty old socks and find their selling prices ridiculous while their buy-back prices are miserable. The store is generally organized, and shoppers may find a variety of items, but customer service opinions are sharply divided.
Friendly staff every time I'm there. Nice way to get rid of your kids stuff easily.
(Its surprising the difference between Platos and OUAC since they are owned by the same people).

My daughter loves shopping here because she can get twice as much at half the price. Everything is always good quality and sorted by size. I never have a hard time finding what I'm looking for. We were even able to get some second hand gymnastics leotards at a certified bargain. We love OUAC!

staff pretty much have always been quite rude. Love having a second hand store but the staff need to educated on how to do proper customer service and how to take care of customers with children or new mothers who are tired or going through postpartum as this place shouldn't make you feel less then.
