“I'll begin by saying, please know that some of the reviews listed for this store don't seem accurate. It is NOT in the middle of nowhere, its NOT sketchy, nor is it poorly stocked. I have been going to this store since the building was built in the 1970s.
Over the years it has been owned by multiple entities. The only time it had sparse stock was when the store was transitioning from the last owner to the new owner. The old owner was actually closing the store until the new owner saw the need of our small community & stepped in. As a result, the old owner did not restock & closed the store. The new owner had to reopen & ramp the store back up very quickly.
The new owner & his wife are awesome people. They don't live in the area and didn't fully understand the needs of our community. With all that in play, they still took a chance on Belton and bought the closed store. Additionally, the staff is always cheerful & polite.The prices are not exorbitant & the store is always sparkling clean. The location is very convenient at the crossroads of two heavily travelled roads. There are several subdivisions, an apartment complex, & Dollar General within very short walking distance.
I reiterate....this is a great neighborhood store! Please stop by & give them a chance. It's tough being a small business owner in a small town. Yet, it is VITAL that these types of businesses continue to exist. Belton Mart, THANK YOU for being an integral part of the Belton community.”
