“Michael helped me ship my car from Charleston, SC to Birmingham, AL. It was a quick and painless process. The price was fair and Michael was very responsive and communicated clearly. I needed quick turnaround and they worked within my time constraints. It was also nice to have one POC to handle my shipment instead of having to call a general line. Would definitely use this company again and highly recommend their services to others in need of car shipping. Lastly - I am 8 months pregnant and stressed to Michael that the shipper had to wear a mask for the hand off because of COVID. The shipper made a special trip to the store to buy a mask just for me. “The service here from the laborers and communication with management were excellent. Stuff was moved quickly, with care, and they were nice dudes.That being said, I don't think this is a great company to choose for small moves. My move was pretty small (largely just some furniture and washer/dryer I couldn't move myself) and with 4 laborers we were done in about 45 minutes. Unfortunately, due to their pricing schedule and minimum job times, it came out to a total of $600, which is about $150 more than I've ever paid for a move of this caliber. If they had better options for small jobs with fewer laborers and less minimum required job time I'd be totally on board to hire them again, but it's hard to justify that jobs size with this cost.If you have a medium-to-large move, I'd definitely recommend these guys for sure, as their rates for those longer move times are much more in line with what you'd pay elsewhere at movers of similar quality. But, if you've got anything less that doesn't require 3-4 laborers and a 3-4 hour minimum, you're (financially) better off looking elsewhere at places with lower minimums.”

“For those of you who are moving and considering a POD: you should use UNITS instead. Their customer service and attitude both in the Charleston office and the NJ office was great. They worked easily with us and our changing dates. They were also considerably less costly than PODS. AND they have this cool technology that allows them to move your UNIT by remote control and it essentially never has to be on a slant, even getting it on the truck. Ours arrived yesterday ( a day early)and nothing shifted at all. I found out about them on here via Dawn and Bill Keziah. Bill and Dawn live in CCX and Bill is a manager for them. So glad I asked re PODS way back then so I could learn about UNITS!”

“Not sure why this place only has 3 stars, I had a great experience. The website showed this location did not have the size pull behind I needed so I called and Tanya located and reserved one for me. I had to change my pick up day three times and it was no problem. Super easy picking it up. The man who hooked it up gave me some great pointers on packing it and driving it. Made me feel confident driving from Charleston to Chicago. A big shout out to UHaul on King Street, you all are great!”
