“The people are great & this truly is a 1stop-shop store. There's a restaurant & ABC store on either side, with all the establishments connected. I can also get things that I can't get at most stores here, but parking isn't that great if there's more than 5 cars in parking spaces plus cars @ the gas pumps...”

“It was after 11pm ,I wasn't paying attention. I gave the nice gentleman $20.I looked up to see $23.79. I ran in and told him I lived just down the street and would bring the rest back. He told me no problem & not to worry. Has a hometown feel. Very relaxed. Great location. 1st gas station off the highway. The time of place that would remember your name if you went there only 2xs.”

“I don't always stop for gas.
Sometimes I stop because life has me running three kids in four directions, my wife's texting me a grocery list that somehow costs more than my first car, and my fuel light is glowing with the confidence of a man who thinks consequences are optional.
That was me when I pulled into Gaelts.
Now look, a gas station doesn't need to be fancy. It just needs to do a few things right. Clean pumps. Easy access. Friendly people. In and out without feeling like you're participating in a hostage negotiation over a fountain drink.
Gaelts nailed it.
The place was clean, organized, and had that rare small-town feel where people actually acknowledge your existence. The staff was friendly, the store was stocked, and everything worked exactly like it was supposed to. It's the kind of place where you walk in for gas and leave with a snack you definitely didn't need but somehow earned.
As a guy who spends plenty of time on the road, I've seen gas stations that looked like they were one bad decision away from becoming a documentary. This wasn't that. This place had its act together.
Pulled in nearly empty, left fueled up, caffeinated, and feeling like I had my life under control again. At least until the next text from my wife.
