“When we first moved to the area in the summer of 2022 this Food Lion location had a large assortment of gluten-free items. Both shelf and freezer options. I was delighted. Over the past 16 months they have done away with the products one right after another. I now have to drive into Spartanburg or Rock Hill to find the things that I used to find right here. Very distressing.”

There has only been ONE time I couldn’t find what I needed! They always have personal touches around the store as well! I’m so glad I have this DG close to my home!”

“I really wish I could give this mini grocery store five stars! After much consideration I just can't do it. I made a trip here today in search of some cough drops. They weren't for me. My wife needed some and she got rather specific about it! When a loved one is feeling iIl, I'll go to great lengths to try and make them feel better. I visited so many stores so fast that Yelp wouldn't let me check in to all of them. Back to the review. They didn't have what I needed. There were very few cough drops and almost no liquid cold medicine. I spent a few moments checking out the rest of the store. It was reasonably well stocked; other than what I needed. Their lettuce was in an unacceptable condition; mostly rotten. But the rest of their produce looked pretty good. I like this store and usually get what I need. Today was an exception. I dinged them one star.”

“Employees are fast and friendly. Butchers are very helpful. Can't find a product. Ask anyone working on the floor! They will tell you where it's located and take you there. Also for transplanted New Jersey friends they sell " Original Trenton brand 'Taylor Ham' ".”

“Mom's is located almost exactly on the state line between South Carolina and North Carolina. It on a well traveled highway between Gaffney, S.C. And Shelby, N.C. It's on a direct pathway to Gardner Webb University. This is another impressive establishment! It's clean and well supplied.I did find that the gasoline prices were a bit on the high side! If a traveler in this area needs gas or refreshments I can certainly recommend them! I'll definitely stop here again if the need arrives!”

“I go to this dollar general for my self more than any other dollar general!!! I have went to several (probably 15) in the past few months as a door dasher but I use this DG almost always for me!!! The prices for toys seemed kinda high last time I was there but what isn't high these days!!! And they always have a decent selection on 75 to 25 percent off items !!! So far only great experiences from this place!!”

“This is the typical independently owned store! I like this place the people who are employed here are unusually friendly! The owner seems like a nice guy to deal with! I do not purchase my gas herethough their prices are competitive! The fuel pumps here do not have card readers! The customer pays before they pump! I don't like this! I'm used to paying at the pump itself. I do see the logic here for the store owner! Customers do get a good look at the merchandise inside. They might buy something while prepaying for their gasoline! This is usually a very good place to find Brim's pork rinds. They did not have my favorite: Salt and vinegar. I dinged them one star for that! Will I stop shopping here? Of course not! I very much recommend this store! It's a very good one!”

“First time here an we loved it. Broker told us our load is ready, we showed up 5hrs before appointment, gaurd was very friendly, went to check in office the staff there was very friendly and kind. They gave us a door, we was in and out in less than 30min. From the moment we checked in at gaurd to the moment we checked out at gaurd. If they not busy they take you in if your load is ready. We gained 4.5 hrs on the road and with the bad weather now, that was a lot of time. Great place!!!”

“This is a typical convenience store. It's located in the Corinth community in Gaffney S.C. Also it's about 4 or 5 miles outside of the city limit. Take Hwy.18 towards Jonesville, S.C. It's on the right! Can't miss it! They have the usual merchandise. Gas pumps, ice, Etc. Basically the store serves the community that it's located in and is needed! I saw nothing unusual or unexpected here. It's a good place to stop and it's pretty much a last stop until you reach Jonesville S.C.!”

“Dropped by because I needed a pair of running shorts to run from the police while I'm out of town. I searched for a Walmart nearby and, to my astonishment, I saw three successive one star yelp reviews for this walmart. I felt a personal sense of obligation to restore the coldly assassinated reputation of this walmart location, even though I hadn't even been there at this point. While checking out, I got the privilege of watching a manager heroically train a new employee to give a customer their cash back when the register opens. I was so moved it brought a tear to my eye. Unfortunately my mood was spoiled by the police waiting for me outside so I had to dock it one star.”

“I visited this store numerous times and have no idea how I've omitted writing a review! It's been here in this same location for more years than I can count! The place is very well stocked with everything a convenience store should have. You name it; they likely have it! Gas prices are very competitive also. Additionally U-Haul trucks and trailers are available. They are doing a lot of thing right to have been able to stay in business this long! I like this store a lot!”

“In general Walmart's okay, their prices generally beat most of the other markets on most of the grocery items we use, although the prices are climbing like everywhere else and they're in-stock is showing holes lately.I purchase men's shirts under the George label which I believe is their house label, and they hold up really well. I wear a 2X and it's fit is also pretty good.My wife and I refuse to drink Gaffney water and have special filters on our shower heads. We drink bottled purified drinking water from Walmart and they have the best price in town on gallons... The water has a decent taste and I keep at least 12 gallons on the shelf just in case.I don't know why but the meat at most grocery markets in Gaffney is pretty bad, I found Walmart's meat counter to be better than most. They're frozen colossal shrimp, cooked tails on is really exceptionally good on the grill, with other fish such as their wild-caught sockeye salmon.In the end analysis it's Walmart, and they do have the typical Walmart idiosyncrasies... Some of their checker cashiers need a personality transplant and trying to get help throughout the store is sometimes impossible.UPDATE: Walmart has really gone downhill in a big way! They have very few checkers on duty at any given time, SO waiting in line has really gotten to be a long wait on some days.Out of stocks is really way up, and prices are climbing much much quicker. Don't bother asking for help nobody seems to know exactly what they're doing let alone what you need to find. It really seems as if the Gaffney Walmart just doesn't have anybody who cares anymore. Very sad indeed!UPDATE:. Well, it just seems to get worse and worse at Walmart. I still shop there to take advantage of their prices which are hard to beat. But customer service continues to get worse. While standing in one line the other day, a kicking screaming slapping fight broke out between two women at the check stand next to us, and even though several people were screaming for security it took the longest time for anybody to show up.Hard to believe a company as large as Walmart allows this kind of thing to go on.11/06 Update: Every negative comment I've made is absolutely true! But also understand that there are some really good people working there in Gaffney, and they really try hard. They do seriously go out of their way to try to make shopping at the Gaffney Walmart at least a decent experience. They do deserve a shout out for their efforts. I sincerely hope that the ones who are trying to make a difference and to make it better for the customers who shop there, do receive some kind of reward for their efforts.Update: 02/26/24. This store has completely been reset and re-merchandised, a great improvement!It feels as if the employees are reacting to the new look with a very positive attitude. We placed an order for pickup, and after we arrived at the pickup area we got to watch employees really hustle getting customer's orders out totheir vehicles. They were quite busy at the 5:00 to 6:00 hour. Our order was ready exactly at the time we specified. The employee who brought out our order was friendly and helpful.Job well done!”
