“I shopped at this Dollar General on Broad River Road, across from Friarsgate subdivision because of it location and it convenient for me. However, I have noticed that they are not being consistent of updating their price changes. I have been in this store on several occasions and they still are not updating their prices. The prices on the shelf is ringing up different on the cash register. I understand that prices has increase but it will be nice to see the correct price on the shelf so you want have any surprises once you check out. Do you think it get better as time goes by?”
“Wow what a selection of quality items! Definitely my go to for discount stores. Clean well organized and nicely staffed. If you don't mind a slightly damaged package or the land of misfit foods this is a great place to go!”

“I love shopping at Big Lots! I was looking for a new recliner because the recliner I bought on Amazon in April 2025 was already worn out, the foot rest broke and can’t be repaired, and the fabric started to separate in the seams. I found exactly what I was looking for in a Big Lots store then my son-in-law picked it up for me! Everyone was so friendly and helpful and understanding! I’m in my early 70’s and really appreciated everyone‘s help! The cost for my new recliner wasn’t unreasonable either!”
“Shout out to Charlie!!! He assisted my mother with finding a table today and truly went above and beyond. He even took the time to check other store locations to see if one was available, which we really appreciated. His customer service was excellent, and his willingness to help meant everything.

“This should have been done a few weeks ago, but the night before Christmas Eve, I needed a few boxes to wrap gifts in….. Everywhere was sold out of everything but I made a quick stop here since it is near my house and I was greeted by Hailey. She was very friendly and took the time out to help me find what I needed. This was around 9pm when everyone else was getting off work for the holidays. She had been working all day and said she was working Christmas Eve, yet she was still smiling and extremely helpful. Thank you

“My granddaughter, a Pathfinder, went to help with the cash register. The low prices are unbelievable! She even saw a beautiful pair of boots for only $3! The antiques next door are also beautiful. My granddaughter definitely suggests this thrift store”

“So this is going to be a hit or miss type store, but if you like to sift through stuff trying to find treasures you will like this place. So today was $2 day. So each piece is $2. I got 2 boxes of cereal that expired a few weeks ago. I have teenage nephews they will demolish them in 1 day. I got a case (12 boxes) of cheetos box macaroni (also expired in March but it's a dry product. Even if you don't want the cheese powder the noodles will still be good for a long time. 2 pairs of pajama pants (new with tag), a sweater, a scarf. A set of marshmallow roasting forks. A box of chocolates, a decorative tin for my sister, a pack of black face masks with Santa on them, a set of 4 reusable shopping bags. And I think something else. Basically 15 items for $32.10With tax. I'm happy with that.”
“This Goodwill always has great stuff, and it's well organized, but the prices are seriously high. When things still have store tags or yard sale tag and the goodwill price is higher, it feels like a scam.”
“The girl at the register was so incredibly kind and had high energy. She was encouraging the lady behind me to dance a little to the fun music playing. “I love this store. I usually have very good experience with the help and assistance from the store employee's. And I love the store hours. I can count on being able to find most needed items day or night and the employees always know where to find a item it I can't. And they will walk you right to what you are looking for if at all possible. I'm think that is good service.”

“I've never seen more than one register open, so I'd suggest not going when they're busy unless you want to wait. But, they always have limited edition Mountain dew of the season which major plus for me.”
“I have been shopping at the Super 10 since back in the 70s when it was an S-Mart, and before then, my mother in the 60s. Super 10's location is a bit of a landmark as it was built in the 50s and has remained while other chains have come and gone. It still has a lot of the simple charm of early days. Super 10 is just off Charleston Highway and is convenient to Cayce, West Columbia, Springdale, the Columbia Airport and The Avenues. The prices are reasonable and it reminds me of the old Rose's stores for those who can remember. I buy a lot of my silk flowers, cleaning supplies, paper goods, even bedroom shoes and housecoats from there. I always end up buying more than I went in there for to be honest. Super 10 is less than a mile from my home. It is very convenient and a bit nostalgic for me. The staff are always very helpful and I love the simplicity of a small store and running in and out quickly. I hope it endures another 70+ years.”
“Dollar General has some of the best prices in all of West Columbia the staff is always friendly and helpful their Christmas supplies are in and household goods are plentiful I love the fact that it's just a few blocks from my home Happy Halloween”

“I went into this Dollar General yesterday and couldn't find what I was looking for. One of the employees, Tara, told me that she would look in the back and would call me back if they had what I was looking for. Sure enough, the next day she reached out and told me that the cards were in stock. Best customer service I've ever seen, thanks Tara!”

“Staff was helpful in finding what I needed but the store was HOT! When I commented, Idk how yall work in this heat! I was told they haven't had AC for 5 weeks. Corporate or management should do better for their employees and customers. We've hit a heat index of 100 again and your employees shouldn't have to endure that indoors for 5 weeks. Also, you're just losing products, all the candy was melted and had been squished by children I assume.”
