“Don't let the surrounding area deter you from booking. This place was fantastic. Wouldn't change anything. Close to lot's of different places.The lounge was so old school and drinks were good. The only complaint about the lounge, was bartender was to busy hanging with friends and regulars that they kind of forgot that people that were staying there would like drink refills.Rooms: Clean and comfortable”

“Upon check-in, I discovered that my reservation had been changed to a King room, despite needing two double beds. However, the desk clerk went above and beyond to promptly resolve the issue. What impressed me the most was her attention to detail, as she even remembered my name when I saw her later.In addition to the outstanding service, I can confidently say that this Hampton Inn is one of the cleanest hotel I've ever stayed in. As someone who is hard to please when it comes to cleanliness, I was thoroughly impressed with the immaculate condition of the rooms and common areas.Thank you to the friendly and accommodating staff.”

“Was a good hotel room, the HVAC was confusing as you could just it on the wall or the unit but something wouldn't work on both, they have flat pillows, so if you like them fluffy ask for extra. The front desk was nice and helpful with some of the questions we had on the area.”

“The hotel itself is amazing. Great location. Front desk is always awesome. But the beds aren't the best. Nor the heat system. I've stayed in 3 rooms this year alone, and I always had an issue with the bed and unit in the room. I probably won't stay at this particular hotel ever again.”

“Hotels in Charleston as a rule can be hit and miss. This one is a clean, quiet place to rest. The breakfast however could use some improvement. And there is no elevator. Extremely convenient having Walmart across the street and the waffle house next door. I definitely will be back.”
“First room we were in had roaches galore then got moved to a second room which was alright, not the most cleanest but it was ok. Could definitely neeed remodeling.”

“Had the pleasure of meeting the hotel manager Matt about how nice and well ran the establishment was! Super cool and down to earth guy who obviously cares about the business. Also another Veteran which didn't surprise me after chatting with him. Absolutely recommend staying here! The atmosphere and upkeep is well above standard!”
“If it wasn't for the fact that I CANNOT give negative stars and the gentleman working, older man I think John was his name, I wouldn't even waste my time with a review.... this place was absolutely disgusting!!!! I took my sandals off to use bathroom and the floor was sticky and turned my feet black!! I turned sheets back and there were cigarette burns in sheets, blankets and hair in my sheets!!! Not a little BUT A LOT!!! My duvet cover was sticky and full of stains as well. I am sure that this review will be deleted as this seems to be what all the previous reviews were about and then they just stopped getting reviews... seems questionable considering that these rooms are awful!! Wish Choice would reconsider branding this one...”

“If you're not accustomed to a clean environment then this is the place for you!Hairs left on the sheets, according to the office staff were 'house keeping eyebrows' and 'not a big enough problem' for me to get fresh linens. Musty aroma when you open the door, mold and mildew on the walls and appliances. I did remove the wad of chewed gum off the wall and did throw away the bottle caps someone was saving in the night stand. Couldn't get the cobwebs off the ceiling corners or the dust out of the bathroom vent.I had my own cleaning wipes and removed the science experiments that I took pictures of to share in the review. I got tired of stopping cleaning to take photos. So you only get to see a fraction of what I wiped away.If you want a room that was left better than what I walked into, you need to request room 105. Bring your own cleaning supplies to help finish the job.Found only one baby cockroach friend in the bathroom. No bed bugs at least.AC worked great but couldn't get rid of the mold smell. I did my best to get the gritty splotches off the floor. I also took off the bag that was covering the smoke alarm.I checked out early and went to a hotel off of Savannah Highway, where I could truly 'sleep inn' a clean room.Also, make note of any of the motels responses to reviews and keep in mind they repeatedly say they'll investigate issues and improve the place. Yet, different guests at different times keep having similar issues/complaints about this motel. Owners/management obviously have no interest in bettering their establishment.This business deleted most of the pictures I posted of their establishment and the filth of the room. They don't want you to know the truth of how unhealthy this place is.”

But who stood out the most was Lisa "The Night Clerk"! Her pleasant disposition makes a difference for someone who's away from home and in a not-so-familiar location.
