Unfortunately, when I tried to add polka dots in Georgia colors with black frosting, it didn't go as planned, and the cake turned into a bit of a mess. In a panic, with only two hours until the party, I rushed to Publix for help. Brittany listened patiently to my dilemma and, in less than ten minutes, transformed my cake into a beautiful creation, even adding the polka dots I wanted. Brittany, I can’t thank you enough for your incredible assistance! I hope Publix recognizes just how fantastic you are!”

    “I’ve been going to this Publix pharmacy for over 25 years because they are the best. My daughter has many prescriptions which sometimes have complications and the friendly, helpful crew at Queensboro Publix always go above and beyond to help make sure we get her meds on time and at the best price. At this point they almost feel like family because of the attention and care they give to us. I’m so grateful for all of them. Even though we moved farther away from that Publix location and are closer to other Publix pharmacies in Mt P we still go to the Queensboro location. Thank you Queensboro crew!”

    “Maddex Mercantile is a true hidden gem - tucked into ION off Shelmore, it's the kind of place you kind of have to know about, and I'm so glad I do. Let's start with the pickles. I'm not exaggerating when I say these are the best pickles I've ever had. I've genuinely dreamed about them when I've run out. If you like pickles even a little, you need to try these. Beyond that, the selection is great - lots of options, and don't skip the freezer section, there are some real gems in there. But what really makes this place special is Anna, the owner. She's always around, always helpful, and if they don't have something you're looking for, she'll get it for you. That kind of personal touch is rare these days and makes all the difference. If you're in the ION area, stop in. You won't regret it — and your fridge will thank you for those pickles.”

They are always smiling and friendly. More than one has told me that it's a great place to work. The only negative I'll say is that some of their prices are higher than my regular grocery store. Other than that I'm a Costco customer and will continue to be so.”

    “Th store is large enough but it is setup in a very strange way with produce on one side and all the deli section on the opposite side. Meat and seafood is set in the back. However, I have to mentioned Kevin at the deli department. He is friendly, talkative and has the best energy. I stopped in to get a sandwich and he really made my day. That man deserves high praise and a raise. Parking is a big strange as all the spots are at an angle. Great location though if you need to stop in and grab something on your way home.”

Inside, the store is well stocked (at least for what I was seeking) and I had no trouble finding things. Self-checkout worked well and I was on my way swiftly. Restrooms were clean.   • Kroger Pouring $112 Million Into Central Ohio, Including Two New Stores

    Kroger is spending $112 million to build two new stores and renovate 15 existing locations across central and northwest Ohio. The company calls it a "record-breaking" commitment to the region. The two new Kroger Marketplace stores will rise in Canal Winchester and Delaware, Ohio, each costing roughly $30 million to build. Kroger broke ground on the Canal Winchester location on March 19 at the southeast corner of Diley Road and Greengate Boulevard. The 118,000-square-foot store is expected to open in late fall 2026 and will create around 250 jobs.

  • Loblaw Plans to Open 70 New Stores and Spend $2.4 Billion in 2026

    Loblaw Companies Limited is putting serious money into its retail network this year. Canada's largest food and pharmacy retailer announced it will spend $2.4 billion in 2026 to open new stores, renovate existing locations and strengthen its supply chain. The company plans to open 70 new stores in 2026. That includes 34 Shoppers Drug Mart and Pharmaprix pharmacies and care clinics, along with 31 hard-discount No Frills and Maxi grocery stores. On top of the new openings, Loblaw will renovate another 191 stores and continue construction on a roughly 1.2 million-square-foot automated distribution center in Caledon, Ontario.
