“8/22/24 Sunday, two nails and I needed to drive back to Chapel Hill. How do you do that on Sunday? You go to Mavis Tires. You might expect it would be more expensive because it was Sunday and in vacation place, but it was less expensive than I pay at home. Turned out I needed a new tire and it was less than I would pay in Chapel Hill. I also got an oil change. They did a great job on that. Honest. Friendly. Open on Sunday. I can’t say enough good things.”
“Moved here a few months ago and needed to find a shop for oil changes, tire rotations, etc….Used Mavis in NJ and never had a problem so I decided to give them a chance down here. I made a good decision! Made the appt on line the night before and when I got there at 9am I was taken right away. The 2 gentleman at the counter, Michael and Josh were great! They were very respectful, personable and pleasant! My experience at this Mavis was nothing short of great. I highly recommend Mavis and this location in particular.”

“We were referred to Preston’s Auto Repair as we needed new brakes. We went in today at 9am and we took a seat in their comfortable lounge chairs in their lobby. They told us it would be about 2 hours. One hour and 40 minutes later they woke us up to tell us our car was ready!!? YES! I said woke us up!? I’m not sure if they got a picture of us sleeping in their lobby but it sure was funny! We all had a good laugh! By the way they did a FANTASTIC JOB on our brakes at a reasonable price! We are very happy with their service and their lounge chairs! Although the nap ? ? could have been a little longer!? Happy Customers!”

“Originally was quoted $700 by my dealership for a brand new tire, so my mom researched and found Blacks tire (my brothers friend’s family owns the one in Florence.) Blacks quoted me only $350 for a brand new tire. Great staff and tire replacement was super quick and easy. Jason was awesome. I originally had an appt on the 23rd but was too nervous to wait that long since my one tire was shot and lost all tread, so Jason expressed care with my concerns and advised me to just stop by instead. He was so sweet and made everything quick and easy! Think I will be just coming here for now on for my vehicle maintenance as opposed to going to the dealership unless it is something more complicated that Jeep needs to handle. Overall, great experience! Wait time wasn’t too long either. Highly recommend.”
