“The staff is very friendly and the process are also really reasonable. It's a really large facility, despite how small it appears from the exterior. The staff keeps it really clean and organized which makes it easy to shop. I've donated and shipped here and have had a positive experience each time.”
“Great place to cool out, enjoy life, and spend some QT with the family or just the kids! I love it.Picnic area: Plenty of tables and grilling locations for all your bbq and family functions etc”
“Great Service, never have an issue with the staff members. I’ve been working out at the y for over a year and a half. Only thing I will say is that some of the machines need to be repaired and fixed up. But other wise if your looking to do activities like working out, basketball, aerobics or running. This place I would recommend.”
“The staff here are not measurable with words! The support and the helpfulness and kindness are always a blessing! So glad this charity has had my back during the hardest times and I'm forever grateful to this charity and the good people who donate maintain and oversee it!”
“The gym is clean, everyone is friendly and encouraging and the options for group fit classes are great. It's never had a pool or wet sauna/steam room, but it absolutely makes up for it in atmosphere and genuine staff. I've been to many gyms and very few have had people as caring and friendly as the staff here.”
“I have done work with Red Cross in trauma and disaster response in the past, and I enjoyed the training, deployments, etc. I have also done CPR and first aid training many times through this office, usually every two years. Instructors are always personable and enjoy what they are doing. One downside: you literally enter through the back door, and holiday decorations, discarded boxes and other storage items litter the back hallways. The training rooms are arranged, decorated and fitted out for their purposes almost as an afterthought. The surroundings are not the most important aspect of the training experience, of course, but they would add so much if they were optimized, even on a very minimal level. Just a thought. The upside: my training needs are always met in a very positive manner by the Red Cross and I appreciate that.”

“We have been serving at Garden City with Crossroads Fellowship on the fourth Tuesday of each month for over six years now. Our members have been so impressed by the fact that the Gospel is preached every day to these men. When our church was shut down for a few weeks during Covid, Garden City continued to serve. In fact, we were able to attend worship services at Garden City during that time. Though our church serves the men, we feel we have been blessed much more than any blessing we have provided. We feel at home there and believe the men feel the same way. We love that you have high standards for the men and they live up to them consistently. The staff is always professional, loving, and understanding. Thank you for getting all these men off the streets, a new life of hope on earth, and a new hope of Heaven. May God bless you all!”

“This is without a doubt the best trauma-specific addiction treatment center I have ever come across. The team is adept at pinpointing the underlying causes of addiction and has a great deal of compassion. They are simply amazing and have assisted me in taking back custody of my son. I cannot overstate how much I regard this establishment.”
“The video presentation and tour of Woodrow Wilson's boyhood home was very enlightening. The homes of both Wilson and James Lamar have been maintained in excellent condition. This history lesson should be on everyone's travel list.”

“"Telling Our Stories Through Poetry", performed January/February of this year, was quite an impressive production. The Augusta Mini Theatre students performed like professionals. They brought the right energy needed to carry out this intriguing performance that delivered inspirational messages woven together through a potpourri of poems, quotes and excerpts from various writings. The students not only knew their lines, but they felt and understood their lines. They took the audience on a rousing journey that made you feel enlightened and so glad that you came.”
“Was first time. Was social distancing. Stood outside allowed in by distance for holiday meal pick up.Friendly, nice, helpful. Understanding. Accessible and the dining facility appeared as kept clean. The grounds was neat and clean. Nice appearance. Conveniently located. Although time listed was times actually long wait as first come first serve. Difficult for someone who can't stand as long. Other seats available already taken with social distancing observed.Instead tried leaning on post while waiting in Simi cool temps outside. However, still nice of them to have for those needing or wanting a holiday meal.”
“First time going to the oyster roast and ran into a lot of people from my neighborhood. We had a so much fun and learned about the river keepers. If you have the time you need to go down there and see all the good they do. Nice group of people.”
“After helping Alex Powell, an intern at Elliot Davis at the time, produce a short documentary about this charity organization back in 2016, my eyes were opened through there mission and happy I was apart of it.”
“Google showed that this clinic is open on Sunday's. They are not. Only their call center is, but the clinic itself is closed on Sundays and Mondays. Scheduled an appointment with the call center.”
“The location was open when we arrived. To be honest, museum is a strong word for its title - it reminded me of a free play daycare center that had a desk at the front? That being said, my 5 year old kiddo had a BLAST lol we were looking for an activity to do outside of our hotel but it was chilly. This was perfect. He played at the different stations and met a few friends. They do have a separate baby area if you have younger. I'd say this is perfect for babies - 6 year Olds (no older than that). The volunteer was very kind, friendly and kept toys clean! I'd return.”
“I have assisted Mrs. Erica, the lead cook, in the kitchen in the month of January. She gladly let me volunteer in pursuance of a school project. I learned how attentive and dedicated she is to the work she does with The Salvation Army. As a person who has been behind both sides of the counter, she truly has tireless character and heart, creating a welcoming environment. I will happily continue to find time for what Mrs. Erica alongside The Salvation Army Center of Hope does for others.”
“I went for help with my electric bill. Everyone I talked to was very nice. Not only did they help me in applying for assistance, they found out I had a delay in getting a personal need, and two of the ladies would not let me leave before they took it up on themselves to help me.”
“Home away from home ❤️ the board members make you feel like part of their family. I needed to have some packages delivered and Walmart couldn’t get the zip code to work correctly in their system so one of them let me have everything sent to her house before we even arrived. They had several appliances not working correctly and someone was down there everyday with a repairman getting them repaired. They really care and take pride in the Comfort House and it shows in its charm.”
“I love Hope for Hooves Rescue! The animals are both well loved and well taken care of. I work at Madison Heights and take my residents there are often as we can go. The staff and volunteers are always welcoming to us. They work with my residents and accommodate our needs when we visit. My residents LOVE visiting this farm and we fall more in love every time we visit.”
