“Hello I'm writing about my expierence at the BoxLunch in Northwoods Mall. I really enjoyed and it was a pleasure with talking to Caroline, she was a sweet heart and as a person with social anxiety she really made me feel comfortable talking to and made me feel so welcomed. Please give her a raise or something, she is the best thing the store has done. Thanks Caroline see you soon!”
“The staff was so very kind and helpful in my multiple stops in to try honey and purchase gifts and honey for myself. This honey is so delicious, definitely a must! Thank you for the great service!!!”
“My husband and I first visited Lowcountry Olive Oil Company last September when we were in Charleston for our anniversary. We purchased 3 different balsamic vinegars and 3 olive oils. We have fallen in LOVE with them, and I just placed my first order for more. It's hard to know what to try next ... they are all so good! We use them for mixed drinks, marinades, salad dressings and more. You have to try them out!”

“I’ve been here multiple times, and I’ve always found such a hidden gem! And I’ve already made two of their DIY trucker hats and everyone always asks where I made it! The owner and staff are amazingly kind and professional. Everyone needs to check this place out especially if you’re looking to take home a piece of Charleston!”
“We were intown from Southport, NC and having our nails done at a shop within this plaza when we discovered Lowcounty Whimsy. Sophie Netter was amazing showing us around the shop which had the most unique items. Bought several things and will certainly be back when I am in Mt Pleasant. Please do yourself a favor and pop into this one-of-a-kind experience, you won't regret it. Thank you, Sophie, and make sure you get some crystals on the way out! XO”
“I made an online order from Zinnia (for a Maison Berger lampe and refills) and they fulfilled the order quickly. The order was double-boxed and bubble wrapped, which I appreciate considering the fragile contents.
I had a good experience and would not hesitate to purchase from them online!”
“The new Beachables poncho is a GAMECHANGER! I use it after shower to keep cool while getting ready in the morning. SO MUCH BETTER and COOLER than my usual bathrobe! Soft, absorbent and washes beautifully too! I love it!!”
“This shop was gorgeous and laid out very well, with decently wide and clear walking paths with beautiful festive decorations around them. The staff were very humble and helpful. They even offered a few Halloween ornaments!”
“Such a delightful little store! Incredible that everything is locally made, and the staff managing the register there on Saturday we’re just the most polite and helpful youngsters, love to see it.”
“Love this place! Great to stop in for gifts for anyone but their selection of things for babies/toddlers is particularly noteworthy. The pajamas we got there are huge hits and we will be shopping here much more!”
“Wonderful products and excellent customer service! I bought a candle with a faulty wick and they met me close to where I live with a new candle and a bar of soap no charge! That’s how a company should work. Thank you and I’ll be back!”
“Today I came in to look around and ended up leaving with a few things. I love permanent jewelry, and I am extremely picky about what I like and what I want. Which I guess that’s pretty reasonable when you are wearing something that you can’t really remove. Today I found a beautiful butterfly ankle bracket and I was going to have it shorten to make a wrist bracelet. They said it was something they could do, however due to the material, not being sterling silver. It would just turn black on my arm. I really appreciate the honesty. They could’ve done it, and I could’ve been disappointed about a month later. I continued looking at bracelets, and I came across the Southern Gates Collection. They are reasonably priced and they had different sizes. I found two that fit my wrist very snug, which is what I like, and the ladies agreed that they would solder them to make them permanent. I absolutely love my bracelets and will be back to finish my stack of the collection.”
“A Maker’s Post is one of my favorite spots on Sullivan’s Island. Their gift selection is always so beautifully curated, thoughtful pieces from local artisans alongside unique finds from around the world. It’s the kind of place where you feel inspired just walking through the door. The back room is especially magical, like a little greenhouse sanctuary tucked away in the shop.
I also have the joy of photographing for them and they’re such a pleasure to work with. Every visit brings something new and I can never seem to leave empty handed!”
“Had the most amazing experience visiting this adorable store and seeing their stunning selection of Herend and Ginori china! We got the most beautiful pieces and can’t wait to go back again!! Thank you to the two sweet ladies working that so beautifully packaged a gift for my mom!”

“I absolutely love this shop! The owners are so friendly and helpful, and they have the best selection of handmade gifts I've ever seen. I've bought several things from here, and I'm always impressed with the quality of their work. If you're looking for an absolutely gorgeous gift, this is the place to go!”
“This gift shop offers amazing service with the cutest designs!! And Mia truly went above and beyond to help me. I loved the design on a particular bag but was hoping to get it in a smaller size. Without hesitation, Mia said no problem, went to the back of the shop, and printed it out for me in less than five minutes! That level of service is rare to find. I honestly couldn’t be happier with my experience and will definitely be coming back when I'm in Charleston. Highly recommend!! 🌟”

“Bought several of the small jams and a few salad dressings. They’ve all been wonderful tasting. So not store bought taste. They have several flavors including some with interesting combinations , which taste great too!Wish I would have bought more while I was there on vacation but didn’t know how all were going to taste until I was back in my state. Highly recommend!”
“I just wanted to put a notation on here that the staff at the West Ashley location for edible arrangements namely a lady named Kat. I believe her real name is Catherine absolutely went out of her way and above and beyond to make sure that my anniversary bouquet to my wife were exactly as they needed to be for the edible arrangement all the way down to the bouquet of flowers..
Although I didn’t get the delivery man’s name, he has delivered at our complex before for other people and he has very attentive and knowledgeable of our staff and everybody there is a pleasure to deal with and we will absolutely recommended this store since it is the edible arrangements that does deliver to the Merchant apartment complex. We will suggest their service above all others when it comes to edible arrangements. . Once again, thank you, Kat and the delivery gentleman”
“My mom and I have been purchasing Gullah Gourmet mixes for the past 25 years. We used to love their booth at Christmas Made in the South. Now that our town no longer hosts the craft show, it has gotten harder to find the mixes, but any visit to Charleston means we stock up!”
“Love this adorable boutique in Charleston! Great gifts and unique fashion jewelry to fit everyone’s taste. In person attentiveness is equally matched by their prompt phone customer service for long distance shipments. Can’t wait to receive my bracelet stack ??
When in Charleston, this shop is a must!!!!”
“Not sure why so many negative reviews. I found several Patriot’s Point/USS Yorktown souvenirs and the employees were all pleasant. This is also a great spot if you’re looking for Charleston themed souvenirs as well during your trip. To top it off, they sell some local baked goods at the front including pralines.”
“I had the pleasure of visiting Black Octopus Mercantile, owned by lovely local artist Missy Johnson, on a trip to North Charleston from Canada. The shop, which came highly recommended by locals, is filled with fun, quirky gifts and souvenirs that perfectly capture the easy-going and free-spirited vibe of North Charleston featuring Missy’s original designs.
I very much enjoyed meeting and chatting with Missy herself as she was running the till that day. Her love for her community is palpable. We spoke at length about the importance of reviving the area and bringing more folks to North Charleston. Her passion to her craft and dedication to the community could be felt in every small detail and kind word she had.
I found out this is a new storefront and the place looks fantastic, and is a great addition to the neighbourhood, complimenting its spirit and culture. It would be wonderful to see the community and the city show her the appreciation she so richly deserves.
A must-visit for anyone travelling through North Charleston!”
