“Layout is a little odd with meats, sodas, and cheese, but once you do it a few times you get it… overall it’s pretty decent. It’s clean and I have found what I needed everytime. I will say the only downfall is having only 4 self checkouts registers. Sometimes I let people in uniform go ahead of me so I’ve actually stood there for 15 mins letting one go after another. Then, at times, some of the four available don’t take cash or a card and limit options further. Truth be told they could stand to eliminate two registers they don’t use and turn that into 4 more self checkouts and it would be a much better shopping experience. Also, the huge staff counter at self check out just may just offer staff a place to hang out. A smaller podium for that areas oversight might allow for another 2 checkout station there and encourage staff stationed in that position to help open bags, collect baskets, troubleshoot, and assist the lines as most other locations do, instead of hanging out behind a counter, only a 1 sided personal observation, I don’t know the daily ops. Lastly, I don’t mind tipping a bagger occasionally and I do when I make a big trip over a weekend, but I go two or three times a week and I don’t want to spend 50-60$ a month tipping or feeling guilty about not tipping. I often go unemployed for months at a time reestablishing myself tour after tour and I don’t feel guilty in utilizing the benefit of commissaries or being conservative in how I spend and tip. I really hope plans are in motion to upgrade checkout!”
“This is literally the best Filipino store I've been in. They had everything my wife loves. Nothing was missing. Skip all the other stores and go here! ? They even have crispy fry!”
“They have a good variety of stuff in bulk Packaging that's really helpful if you have a restaurant or planning on putting on a big family outing or your church is needing something for an event.”
“I've never had any sort of problem here. This business is in a great location, although parking is limited and only four vehicles can gas up at once. However, the store runs two cash registers, so you can get in and out fairly quickly.”
“They have fruit and salads they also have a good beer selection they carry cases of beer of all variety. The employees are very polite and well mannered. They also have a self checkout line. If you find yourself in sumter visit Dollar General”
“It's a good store. They don't pay them enough for all they have to do & the hours they put in, cleaning everything, stocking & lifting & doing this every shift, opening & closing for barely over minimum wage & this store has gotten robbed at gunpoint 2 or 3 times in the last 5-7 years, with 2 of those times being due to our economy & this pandemic recently! They do tend to keep their employees for a good year or two & then they kind'of filter thru a couple cycles until they get another batch of good ones that last a year or two again! I only know this bcuz I've lived right down the road from this store for the last 10+ years & in Dalzell for 20+ so I've seen it go thru it's transitions!The worst has been what we're seeing now & what most stores are dealing with, trying to keep the products on the shelf that everyone wants all week before they sell out & not have empty shelves, but unfortunately they do by the end of each week on most sale items, like almost every store in town! But the staff are pleasant & the store is clean & if you need something they're very happy to help you, at least I've always had excellent response from all of them there, even if they're not always smiling, they're always obliged to be helpful! And that matters! They do a good a good job considering what we're all going through, including them!”

“They have a clean bathroom inside with a variety of of snacks to choose from inside the store. A wall of cold drinks and some room temperature drinks. Nice cashier every time ive been. Atm inside as well as tobacco products and lottery. The gas id back as of 5/22/21”
“The entire staff treats us like family every time we enter the door. They have a great selection of food including fried chicken, pizza, hot subs, and breakfast items. They also have a great selection of beer with their walk in cooler.”
“New Dollar General and I absolutely love it. It is always stocked and the staff are so friendly and helpful. I was picking up a DoorDash order and they helped me with all my questions and concerns. This store I know is new however, it is so clean and neat. If you need to stop I highly recommend this store!”

“I went in for Alkaline batteries. I always get the Dollar General brand cause they seem to last just as long as the major brands and they're a lot cheaper. I asked one of the workers about a Bluetooth wireless ear for my phone. They didn't have Jabra or Motorola but she recommended a brand named Billboard cause she had a set like them and said they were good. I had purchased a Jabra Bluetooth several weeks ago but I couldn't adjust the volume up loud enough to hear well. I hesitated cause I knew this was a cheap brand but I gave them a try. I'm so glad I did. The pack comes with a pair but you can use one if you want. They pair very easy, both have a volume buttons and a call button. Plus they were $ 10.00, amazing sound and comfortable to wear. Thank you to the clerk that helped me at the Lugoff store.”
“Very clean staff is always friendly and helpful the manager April is always very friendly and helpful it kinda feels like a old time grocery store where everyone knows you and greets you every time you come in shelves are usually stocked sometimes they will be sold out of a item but it usually only lasts w day or so parking is good only problem is the lighting out side is not very good”

Crazy. Youngs use to pride itself on open 23/7 since I was 14yrs old and I'm 63 know.

“10/13/2022- I just moved here about 6 months ago. This is the closest store to me, so I am a regular. Giving honor where honor is due: Everytime I have been to this store, it is so neatly stocked and clean. The parking lot is always clear and free of debris, shopping carts, and Rolltainers. The staff is kind and very attentive to the register between tasks while maintaining that good customer service spirit. It's as close to a commercial as you can get in real life. It is something to recognize in times like this.. As a former Dollar General ASM who has worked at multiple stores, I know what these folks are facing to keep up with the demand. Consistency is key, and all of the staff here is on board! This really is a beautifully functioning store. Keep up the great work!!!! Everyone working and shopping there has a store to be proud of. ?”
