“8/22/24 Sunday, two nails and I needed to drive back to Chapel Hill. How do you do that on Sunday? You go to Mavis Tires. You might expect it would be more expensive because it was Sunday and in vacation place, but it was less expensive than I pay at home. Turned out I needed a new tire and it was less than I would pay in Chapel Hill. I also got an oil change. They did a great job on that. Honest. Friendly. Open on Sunday. I can’t say enough good things.”

“Moved here a few months ago and needed to find a shop for oil changes, tire rotations, etc….Used Mavis in NJ and never had a problem so I decided to give them a chance down here. I made a good decision! Made the appt on line the night before and when I got there at 9am I was taken right away. The 2 gentleman at the counter, Michael and Josh were great! They were very respectful, personable and pleasant! My experience at this Mavis was nothing short of great. I highly recommend Mavis and this location in particular.”

“Hi! I’m here to rave about Hayden Pearson, the Marketing Assistant Manager at this store. Hayden previously worked at a store closer to where I am located in NC. I was sad to see him go however, even from hours away his insight and guidance have continued to be invaluable! In the past I feel I have encountered some pretty questionable (dishonest) ”car guys.” Hayden is the complete opposite. He prioritizes his customers needs and consistently provides honest insight/recommendations. Needless to say, he’s helped restore my faith in the “car guys.” I actually ended up with a tire issue today and again, even from hours away, he was able to point me in the right direction. I strongly encourage anyone in need of ANYTHING tire related to go to this store solely because he works there. If I could rate higher than 5 stars, I would!! :)”
“I have been using their services for five years now. The service is great, and the staff is friendly and competent. I wouldn’t go anywhere else!
As a bonus, they have a couple of little cubicles where you can sit while waiting for your vehicle.

This was my first time bringing my car for service since my husband passed and I was nervous that they would “find” many things wrong as it was due for 150,000 mile check up. They changed my oil and said everything else looks good. Yay!!
Also Amy at the front desk was so sweet and sent me home with a smile ?

“So far, I can only speak for their customer service and it is top notch! I called spontaneously because I needed a second opinion about an issue I was having with my truck that another shop caused. I could tell they were super busy but I was told to stop by anyway so that they could take a quick look. When I arrived, both father and son immediately stopped what they were doing to help me out. You just dont find that anymore these days. Thank you guys and I am a future customer.”

“Came in for a tire rotation while on vacation. After the tires were inspected I was told it would be best to hold off on rotating them because the rear tire(s) were showing a bit more wear than the front and I could get a few more thousand miles out of them. I knew one of the rear tires had a very slow leak and asked if they could take a look. They found a leaking valve stem and replaced it. Super friendly! Super honest! I appreciated what they did for me. Definitely recommend them for service. Wish I knew of a place near home with similar customer service.”
“Originally was quoted $700 by my dealership for a brand new tire, so my mom researched and found Blacks tire (my brothers friend’s family owns the one in Florence.) Blacks quoted me only $350 for a brand new tire. Great staff and tire replacement was super quick and easy. Jason was awesome. I originally had an appt on the 23rd but was too nervous to wait that long since my one tire was shot and lost all tread, so Jason expressed care with my concerns and advised me to just stop by instead. He was so sweet and made everything quick and easy! Think I will be just coming here for now on for my vehicle maintenance as opposed to going to the dealership unless it is something more complicated that Jeep needs to handle. Overall, great experience! Wait time wasn’t too long either. Highly recommend.”

“We visited here with a friend, who's a member, for our first Costco experience; it was quite amazing. First of all, we came mid-afternoon on a Thursday; and the place was as busy as any Walmart we've seen on a Fri/Sat evening. The place is an attraction in of itself; capitalism on steroids (and that's meant as a compliment). The selection of items is awe-inspiring. The $1.50 hotdog & drink at the end of the visit, was a fitting conclusion to the experience. (We also surprisingly had the best almond croissants we've had in Myrtle Beach, from their packaged bakery section; we'd join Costco just for those, if we had one near us back home.)”

“If I lived in the Myrtle Beach area, the Firestone store located at 613 N Kings Hwy would be my choice location to have my vehicle serviced after my recent interaction with Thomas. I live in Ohio and during my recent trip to Myrtle Beach on Saturday 7/20/2024, I started having brake problems. By the time I had gotten to Myrtle Beach late Saturday evening, my left rear brake on my Traverse was metal to metal when the brakes were applied. I spent Saturday evening fretting over what damage I had caused and how was I going to get myself and family safely back to Ohio. I searched the internet looking for car repair businesses and was not having much luck on locating one. I happened to come across this Firestone location being within 10 miles of my location and decided that I would give them a call the next morning (Sunday). Forgetting that most businesses are closed on Sunday, I called this store telling myself that they probably would not be answering the phone and I would have to wait until Monday. I was surprised when Thomas answered the phone and stated that if I could get the car to the Firestone location he would take the time and look at it and let me know what could be done to resolve my problem. I babied my car to Firestone and got there around 9:20am and after explaining my situation to Thomas, my car was pulled into the bay and inspected at 9:30am. Front and rear brakes were inspected with the determination that the front brakes were fine but the rear brakes needed replaced. Thomas went over everything with me on the work that was needed to resolve my problem and assured me that upon their inspection, no major damage had occurred and that once the rear brakes were replaced, my situation would be resolved. Skyler, the tech, replaced my brakes and he road tested my car and signed off on his work by 12:28pm. In 3 hours, my brakes were replaced and the feeling of gratitude to see my car being pulled out of the repair bay and be test driven was absolute relief to me. I am now back in Ohio and the trip home was problem free and the brakes are working properly. I just want to say to Thomas and Skyler, thank you for your time and expertise on addressing and resolving my vehicle problem. I truly owe both of you my piece of mind and thank you for taking a horrible situation that did start out affecting my vacation and turn it around into an enjoyable vacation. Your work ethic and professionalism will always be acknowledged and appreciated by me.”
