“I love the store's setup. Everything is always stocked properly, with first in first out so I have never experienced purchasing anything that was already expired. For example, I regrettably have dealt with molding food many times before when my loyalty was to another neighborhood grocery facility.”

“I have beeb remiss in making this review,however, the past two times I went to this location on 2nd Loop, Florence, I'm greeted with a huge smile and "welcome to dollar general by Taniyah, she is the most customer friendly, professional and knowledgeable. Super sweet and courteous. I went to the same location in late April and needed some balloons blown up, I also wrote down the names of her co-workers this particular Saturday night and for the life of me I can't find my receipt that I jotted their names on. The balloons gave them a bit of an issue, but they did not stop until they figured out how to get this done. They were absolutely awesome and smiled and joked the entire time! Nowadays customer service is all but non-existent, but Taniyah is absolutely awesome! The epitome of what customer service should look like and be.

“It's newly remodeled and fairly nice, but I go here for convenience more than anything. I like food lion or harris teeter meat department and fresh fruit/veggie section better because I think they have more options. The staff have always been super nice and I've never had a bad experience.”
“Probably one of the smallest and for certain, the dirtiest Dollar General stores in the area - however, the staff are ALWAYS friendly & helpful and we are THANKFUL for this store in Lamar - our "own" little Walmart.”
“Dollar General has really come a long way in the products they sell. I tend to check there first for what I need before going into grocery or big box stores, and their prices are MUCH better!”
“I love going to Walmart because they seem to have convenient pricing to me today I went to Lowe's in Florence South Carolina to get red mulch for the yard and they had three for $10. I checked the super Walmart where I live and they had five bags for $10 what a big difference”

“I don't mind this location because can get in and out quickly avoid the Walmart superstore crowd. There is a drivethrough pharmacy window which I prefer to walking inside. Some of the shelves were not re-stocked to keep up with customer demand. I think the produce section is smaller than that in superstore. No apple juice in the aisle was a deal breaker for my wife. The amount of check out people was 1 which seems understaffed. The parking lot is definitely too small, there's only 3 rows to use close to front door. This location is good to get in and out for a few items, for large grocery visits choose elsewhere.”

“Love how they remolded the storeand it's always clean. Don't like sometimes they close early when they want. Store supposed to closed at 10pm but they locked the door at 8:45pm and it's a Friday.Was the only customer in store for 5min and was told they close without explanation.”
