“This store has a good food selection, but its location can be challenging to both get into and out of. Don't go on the weekends or after work during the week. My wife has ordered using Door Dash and has been very happy as the order was correct and delivered quickly.”

“Produce and breads are excellent. Their knockoff Girl Scout cookies are terrific; crackers not so much. Their prices can't be beaten. Wish they would build a store closer to me. I drive 45 minutes to buy from them.”
“I shopped in this store on 12/20/2025. Part way through my shopping I began to feel unwell. When I was checking out, I asked the young man at the register if it was possible to have someone help me take the groceries to my car. He stood at the end of the checkout and caught the eye of someone over him, who gave him permission to take my cart out. I was indeed very grateful, and impressed at his level of compassion and pleasure to provide service. So, Food Lion on Pamplico Hwy., in Independence Center, Florence, SC- thank you for allowing me to express thanks to Robert, the cashier.”
“I was thankful that they were open today after the snowfall yesterday. I know they didn't have to, and normally I try to avoid the roads on days like this but something came up and we needed some medication. They were helpful, friendly and nice even though they were slammed!”

“Well Mr. Dwane and Mr. Sniper believe that no sense of urgency is needed. Paper towels surrounding an end cap for over 30 days is unacceptable being near products leads to bacteria and mold. The paper towels fix has been going on for months.The wet drop ceiling tiles were recently removed due to dripping on packaged meats. To advise a customer that checking the temps 3 times a day of dry goods leaves many questions. Now let's understand this location is small and only a five minute drive to a larger one. The lacknof care is not here, therefore it's best to shut it down before an elderly person becomes ill for shopping here. Convenience is not a SAFE risk!”

“Stopped while traveling. No wait. Chicken and oxtail were perfect. The rice and cabbage were better than imaginable. Grabbed a bottle of Bak Foods Scotch bonnet sauce because we like everything hot and wish we’d gotten another. I’m not a reviewer, this might be my first. Had to do it though this place is killer.”
“The 1 in Dillon, S.C gets 4 stars the FOODLION in Florence S.C on Palmetto close to Octapharma gets no stars NONE I couldn't remember my pin so sale was declined left groceries there but still took the money off now having probs getting it back...tell me how that is ok.”

Every aisle I walked down, any time there was an employee nearby, they offered assistance without me even having to ask. It’s rare these days to see a team so attentive and willing to help. It is always super clean & well stocked! Best fried chicken around, sorry ' Colonels ' And you can never smell the oil they fry with, which tells me it's not old nasty oil that they use. Kitchen looks clean & sterilize.?And the Butcher shop guys can cut your steaks just as thick as you want. Check it out Sweetheart Ribeyes ! Be sure to check out Their Valetines Special! “This Walmart pharmacy? I can't gush enough about them. The staff are friendly. Not like some pharmacies where the staff seem overworked and washed out. I have used this pharmacy for more than five years and never been disappointed. They are quick and the consult pharmacist are helpful in answering questions.
