“I had a great experience with Alamo. At pickup, I was able to upgrade to a larger vehicle at the last minute with no hassle. They had several premium SUVs available to choose from, which was a nice surprise.
I ended up choosing the Jeep Grand Wagoneer, and it was an excellent choice. The entire pickup process was smooth, the staff was helpful, and I appreciated having multiple vehicle options available. I would definitely rent from Alamo again.”

“My experience was fine but first I want to give a heads up. Don't wait to make your reservation. If you are going to some popular event or what not. I flew into Columbia, S Carolina for a military graduation ceremony and couldn't get a rental at the airport. The other nearest agency didn't pick up or drop off. That was kind of a bummer.
Otherwise all went very smoothly. The agent was courteous, helpful and thorough. Returning the car was very easy, took about 5 minutes. The car was clean, Toyota Camry hybrid, I think. At first I didn't think I had turned it on and therefore, turned it on and off a couple of times, got out to ask the agent and then realized it was on. I felt a tad foolish. Any way a good experience.”

“Everything step of rental was smooth and everyone was very helpful. The only complaint I have is that the windshield was so dirty/smeared/fogged that it made it difficult to see to drive when we picked it up at night. But the rest of the car was very clean and everything worked as it should.

“I landed at Columbia, SC had a rental paid for and waiting from another company with the package deal I purchased for my family and myself. Let’s just say they did not give me the car and I needed a 6 passenger car which is not easy to get last minute. I went to the Budget desk which is my usual rental car company even when we go away to Spain and Heather was amazing! She worked with the Avis employee which I am sorry I never got her name to write a review on her as well and they tried to help find a car for my family and I with no previous reservation. I was so thankful without them we wouldn’t have been able to go anywhere as you need a car in SC especially where I was going was a hour away from the airport. She told me everything I needed to know about the return of the car because I wanted to use a different card than my deposit card. Even though it cost a lot more than the rental I had paid for I was thankful I had what we needed my husband and I were thankful we had transportation we needed for us and our 4 kids for that 3 day weekend trip!

Btw the cars are easy to get to you just leave baggage claim cross an intersection and walk through a walkway and leave out to each “letter” row to your cars location safely. Was very pleased with the airports rental car parking lot which also was easy to get to when bringing car back.”
