“The two ladies working were wonderful!!! They attended to our needs, the hot breakfast was full of delicious food and super fresh as they were making new food all morning as customers bought. I was very impressed about how friendly & attentive they were even though the store was very busy. :)”
“When I went to fill up the 30 gallons of diesel ( not $30 )my 26 feet box truck it was very cold weather I was cold but the girl cashier was very nice she smiled at me and I got warm.☀️”
“Very nice place. The staff is friendly and there's a good variety of snacks and beverages to choose from. I'll definitely visit this place again the next time I'm in Custer.”

“This Conoco was just a quick stop for me on my way back from Custer State Park. And from what I saw, it was similar to most small town convenience stores that I have seen.
The store was basic and had a great amount of products for a gas station store in Custer. Ranging from chips to snack cakes and even ice cream, the store has many of your essential items you may need if camping nearby, despite not being the place to purchase fresh food and produce.
I came in here just to purchase water, but in those two minutes, I was in the convenience store, I was flattered at just how well upkept these facilities are. Additionally, there was a casino across the store that is attached to anybody willing to gamble who is of the age of 21+.
Simply, this is a great convenience store for those passing through, but not for those looking to stay long-term in nearby Custer State Park or those headed to Mount Rushmore.”
“Born and raised to respect and take care of things, including keeping things fully maintained and genuinely clean. The local grocery store is a clean store, fresh items, milk supply I could rely on. They keep only the employees who are happy, knowledgeable and truly care for the store. I appreciate the reasonable prices: residents--are the mainstay--year around who need a grocery store and mutually need to survive--just like Dakotamart. All the small businesses need to survive--including through the cold, cold winters. Time and costly to drive to Rapid for groceries. I appreciate the clean parking lot all around the store. That is so important. I am noticing more Tesla in the back where chargers are. That was a very good idea to help keep the store and area patronized.
I am thankful people truly continue to respect and be grateful....including securing, protecting, and preserving the priceless uniqueness of Custer State Park and county. (The entry to the store is not specifically dark. ""It is not sunny bright--with glaring lights...I see it as a good thing for eye health. But, too, I am unsure--but, I think the glass has a glare proof treatment??, too--but, also very good for security reasons is how I view it). All we can do is do our best. I appreciate this small--strong grocery store.”
