“Saturday, December 13th: Me and my wife were there with our 4 year old boy, looking to get him dirt bike gear. We had a hard time finding boots and a helmet that had a good fit. The guy that was working that day, I wish I could have gotten his name, went above and beyond for us and our kid. He made sure we got a perfectly fitting helmet for our 4 year old’s giant head lol. He also helped us pick out a great pair of boots. And to end it, he gave us a free pair of gloves for our kid. “I want to extend a heartfelt thank you to the amazing team at Pep Boys! While I was out running errands, my car suddenly started making strange noises. I happened to be near this location and decided to stop in to see if they could take a quick look.
The gentleman at the counter (who I’m convinced is an actual angel on earth) let me know there were several cars ahead of me. But when I explained that I was on my lunch break and the situation felt urgent, he kindly stepped outside to listen and assess the issue himself. After offering his honest opinion on what might be going on, I decided to leave my car in their care.
A few hours later, they called with the head mechanic’s diagnosis and suggested I tow the car back to the Honda dealership, where I had recently gotten an oil change. They suspected the issue may have started there—and they were spot on. It turned out the Honda mechanic had failed to install a washer properly, which caused a leak and the strange noises I’d heard. Thankfully, Honda acknowledged the mistake, fixed it at no cost, and my car is now running smoothly.
