“This is hands-down, the best men’s clothing store in the city. They have a high-quality selection of really unique clothing that are really really freaking cool and nothing else in the city, even matches it. The men are always dressed so sharply, and they are so kind in there as well. I got a beautiful bag the last time I was there at the Peabody that looks like Joseph and amazing technical Dreamcoat. I highly recommend us to anyone who is visiting Memphis or lives here. It is not inexpensive, but it is 100% worth it.”
“This is one of my favorite shops! Here you will find beautiful African clothing for men, women, and children with alterations available. There are also unique purses, fanny bags, and backpacks...all handmade and beautiful. There is also fabric by the yard. This is where I purchased the fabric for my bathroom windows. But the main reason I shop here is not only to visit with the precious owner, Grace, but because of the great selection of earrings. I almost never walk out without a new pair of earrings.”

“The seamster is amazing! He works magic designing clothes. You can even purchase imports and get it tailor made for you. The customer service was great. My first time in the store, I was assisted in finding a dress (gown, in my opinion), headdress/scarf to match. The colors of the materials are vibrant. Definitely returning, again to pick up a cute two piece skirt set waiting for me! Did I mention that they braid?”

If you are new to the idea, the Painted Tree features tons of individually managed booths that range from jewelry to bath soap to roasted nuts to casual wear to home decor to Star Wars collectables. And just about everything in between. Upscale in nature, the place is clean, well lit, and spacious.”

The owner had one at his home and met her. The jewelry is beautiful, but the proprietor is the real jewel. He is knowledgeable about his product and willing to go above and beyond for his customers.
