The Exchange Building Apartments are located in a historic 1910 landmark building in downtown Memphis. The apartments offer a combination of historic and modern atmosphere, with studio and one-bedroom units. The location is central and excellent, with beautiful city, park, and river views from many units. The building features an extensive entry lounge with multiple fish tanks, a top-floor laundry area with a play area and couches offering an exceptional vista, and a garage. There are some signs of age, with small bits and pieces coming apart and some original AC units no longer working, though personal window units are provided and work great. The staff is noted as super friendly, kind, and helpful, with responsive management for maintenance and questions. The apartments are considered fair for the price, providing everything needed for a stay, with very comfortable beds. The immediate area on Main Street can feel dicey at night, advising caution. Overall, it is a doable and pleasant stay in a unique building with character.
