We walked in and Fia automatically received love and nurture from the staff. They provided great tips, advice, food options, and personal experiences. We spent almost an hour in there because of how helpful the staff was . Every last one of them. Hollywood feed is great but this specific location NEVER fails to amaze me.

I feel completely comfortable leaving my dog Bear with them. They are lovely, accommodating people. We have boarded, groomed and done daycare with them several times and it has been a completely wonderful experience each time. They go above and beyond, listen to any concerns or questions you have about your dog, and have met every single request I’ve made of them- whether it is specialty food, applying eye drops, etc. I have never once felt dismissed or ignored or that the people there are fed up with animals- and that’s unusual amongst boarding facilities in my experience. I cannot tell you how wonderful it is to have peace of mind that the people caring for your animal love your dog as much as you do.To give an example- once my dog was not feeling up to eating and someone sat with him and hand fed him his food. That’s the kind of people at this establishment. They take initiative to care for your animal. Absolutely wonderful staff and we will continue to go to Barks for all our boarding, daycare and grooming in the future.

When Berry passed suddenly in late 2020, she helped us with making arrangements. Just recently, we had to say goodbye to our Barney, and we are extremely grateful to Dr. Mays and everyone in the clinic, who all were so wonderful and compassionate during that time.

Taming the Wild

This was our third attempt at getting training that worked for our two female rescues. Before coming to Taming the Wild, we tried in-home training with certified trainers and also sending our dogs to a week long behavioral training program. Neither of those things stuck with our dogs or worked very well for us to incorporate into our daily lives. Bryan, Ashley and the Team at Taming the Wild changed that for us and we are forever grateful!We rescued our girls two years apart from each other when they were both very young puppies. They are now 8 and 6 years old. They're both precious angels in our lives and always have been...however...they had some bad behaviors that we just couldn't seem to get under control. We felt trapped in our own home. We worried about anyone ringing the doorbell, any activity that was out of the ordinary and anyone coming to our home to provide a service (yard, pest, repairs, etc). When you have two - they sometimes feed off of each other. So, when one gets worked up, the other gets worked up and they become hard to control. Top that with one of our girls being EXTREMELY ANXIOUS ALL THE TIME, and it magnifies the circumstances tremendously.As much as our girls get along, love each other and play with each other, when these tense moments of anxiousness and bad behavior arose, it would sometimes lead to the two of them getting into fights with each other. Ugly ones that were hard to stop. Stitches, drains, weeks of medications, cones of shame and keeping them away from each other while they healed :(. It was so sad and so hard for ALL OF US.A close friend of ours had sent one of her dogs to Taming the Wild and said it was not only successful for them, but a totally different approach to training than we had tried in the past. So we gave it a try and we're so glad we did! Both of our girls did the 21-day Board & Train Enhanced Training program based on our needs. We missed them LIKE CRAZY while they were gone!!! However, Ashley was WONDERFUL about sending us updates, pictures and videos each week! She always let us know what they were working on, what they had mastered and how they were doing. When she would send videos, you could hear Ashley and the team talking to our girls and you could just feel the love they had for them! Such a small thing to notice, but such a big feeling of comfort to us that not only were they being taken care of, but treated kindly and LOVED!!!Of special note - as was mentioned earlier, we have one sweet girl with overwhelming anxiety. During the girls training, Bryan evaluated her and shortly after, we met with him to discuss how to help make her life less stressful and happier. He recommended that we try an anti-anxiety medication in addition to the training. We've tried meds for her in the past, but nothing seemed to work or help calm her down. After approval from our vet, we started this new regimen and it has made A WORLD OF DIFFERENCE in all our our lives!!!Since completing the board & train program, our girls understand what is expected of them and you can visibly see how proud they are when they complete a command we've asked of them. It's a WIN for us and a WIN for them - and that makes for a much happier life together!Thank you Bryan, Ashley & the Team at Taming the Wild!!!

Invisible Fence of Memphis

We had invisible fence installed and my world changed. I can leave them outside while I work from home and they stay! The installation was quick and then Jeff walked the property line with me and one of my dogs. I swear I only walked her around maybe 2 more times and that’s all it took. This is the best thing we have spent money on. It may be pricey but it’s worth the peace of mind it gives you. No more worries about them getting in the road and getting hit. If you’re “on the fence” just do it. You won’t regret it.

Appetizer: Seafood Fries- seasoned waffle fries topped with crab and shrimp meat and serve with spicy mayo. Loved it! Entrée: Yakisoba (焼きそば) Japanese stir-fried noodle dish with chicken, cabbage, broccoli, scallions, a sunny side up egg and spring mix on top. It was absolutely delicious! The portions were very generous and I had enough leftovers for lunch the next day. Atmosphere: Small but charming Service: Top notch Bonus: Love the take out containers and fabric bag. A nice touch!

I got the blueberry muffin, the chocolate chip cookie croissant, molasses cookie and the triple chocolate chip cookie. Let me just say, I'm in love! Everything was delicious. The chocolate chip cookie was buttery with a hint of salt. The molasses cookie had bits of ginger throughout. That chocolate chip croissant creation was in fact gooey on the inside. Lastly, the Blueberry Muffin was full of blueberries, an excessive amount and I'm here for all of it!! All I can say is if you like bakeries, you'll love this place! 827 S Main St, Memphis4 of us were traveling in our Jeeps from Florida to Missouri. We stopped in AK at our hotel and checked in. We drove 15 minutes down the road to try this brewery.
We had an amazing experience. Our bartender, Eric, was phenomenal! He was very Interactive and chatty with. Had some good laughs and great drinks. We tap out and head to the hotel. Not to long after we got back to the room, Eric, again our bartender, sent me a test asking if one of us lost a Jeep key.
I ask the guys. Yep sure enough, one of the guys left their key. Our driver was already asleep and we were not in the condition to drive. I called and visited with Eric. He asked were we were staying. He knew the location and hand delivered the key to us!! Talk about phenomenal customer service. This was the best experience and I would highly recommend them. Good beer, good conversation and quality service.
