The Sheraton Memphis Downtown Hotel offers a mixed experience for guests. Located conveniently near the convention center and downtown attractions, the hotel features a beautiful lobby, friendly staff, and comfortable beds. Many guests appreciate the clean rooms and ample sitting areas in the lobby, along with easy access to the trolley for exploring the city. However, some reviews highlight issues that detract from the overall experience. Guests have mentioned inconsistent housekeeping services, outdated room decor, and the need for renovations in various areas of the hotel, including bathrooms and carpets. The mini fridge is noted as being extremely small, and some rooms lack microwaves, causing inconvenience for extended stays. While the bar offers a nice menu and friendly service, drinks can be pricey. The hotel has been undergoing construction, leading to some uncertainty about its amenities during certain stays. Despite these drawbacks, the staff's warmth and hospitality stand out, making many guests feel welcomed. Overall, the Sheraton Memphis Downtown Hotel is a suitable option for those attending conferences or seeking a central location, though travelers should be mindful of its aging facilities and potential inconveniences.
The parking was TERRIBLE! The hotel parking lot could not accommodate our F-250 truck, so they made us park across the street in public/pay parking (where the homeless people live/hangout). The room was dated, but nice and clean. The receptionist told us they offered free Continental breakfast, which they did not.

The best thing this hotel has going forward is its friendly staff. Rooms are nice, valet parking is expensive, the small restaurant and tavern has poor service and astronomical prices. Location is great but you give up a lot.

This place is not great... Avoid it if you can. The location is bad. They force you to pay for parking and it's like $30 a day. The people who work there are not friendly. It's definitely not somewhere I'd stay again.
