“The store offered lots of Jerky options. Including vegan! Mushroom jerky, ahi tuna, kangaroo, python, elk, Goose, and SO much more. All at reasonable prices!The pieces the family ate they really enjoyed!”
“I stop in every time I'm in Gatlinburg. The store has some interesting things. I love to spend time browsing. The staff is so friendly. I enjoy talking to them if they're not busy. They have shared a couple of recipes that I tried when I got home. They were delicious.”

“Very decent grocery store to stock up your vacation rental when you come to the mountains near Gatlinburg. We especially liked this location because we didn't have to drive through the constant traffic jam of downtown Gatlinburg to get here.”
“Let me tell you the manager makes all the difference in the world because this store looks 100% better than what it did just a few months ago. When I was there before it looked like a bunch of third graders have went through and just threw things everywhere. It is so much better now and much better organized”

“We are here visiting on vacation traveling the back roads when my 5yr old started not feeling well. Pulled into this location and was greeted with the absolute most amazing kindness. Thank you so much for the plastic bags and your overall kindness! Being from Baltimore we dont encounter that much sadly. I forgot to get the sweet ladies name but I just know she is hands down someone's superhero mom mom!!! ? sometimes the smallest of acts can be the kindest of memories.”
“Standard Dollar store. Lots of stuff, sometimes of questionable quality.
The store is always understaffed like most of them are, so expect to have to ring a bell or yell for service at checkout. It isn't the employee's fault, there are only ever 1 or 2 employees in the store and they are expected to stock and check people out.
The big plus of this store is that it is at least 10 minutes closer than any other similar store.
It is also an easy parking lot it get in and out of, and very convenient to the residential areas.
I do wish they had kept the self checkout open, but I understand that people were just stealing too much and the store can't afford the loss. It is what it is.
Overall, good store that I would recommend.”
“My husband loved your gravy and biscuits and his eggs and I have one complaint if you would use Bisquick Mix for your Pancakes you would have more people ordering them . But That's my only complaint sorry I don't like what you use now every gas station uses that and it's not good sorry again.”
“The worker there, Brandon, was super quick to help. We had to exchange some change and he helped up do just that in a quick and timely manner. He created small talk and overall was just a great worker.”
“I did not intentionally seek out posting this review. My phone continued to ask me how was Dollar General Store? Well, this is how it is. The prices of their items are less expensive than most other retailers. But, the staff and overall atmosphere of the place makes it feel like a trailer trash Emporium. Pretty good prices but it's embarrassing to be seen shopping there.”
“I had no problems here, popping in for some snacks and things to use for making breakfast. No trash in the parking lot and an associate was busy bringing in carts. The parking lot was quite full this afternoon! The bread aisle was well stocked as was the prepared deli cheese and meat. Other stuff in the condiments are in good shape with clearly displayed prices. The store was clean and the self-checkout worked just fine. This was a good experience. “I go to the Walmart Neighborhood store for most of my groceries and pharmacy needs. If I need clothing or automotive I go to the other Walmart on the parkway as they carry those items plus an automotive center.”
“This store has everything you need. We stopped in a grabbed snacks for our day of hiking. The sandwiches were fresh and very good on the trail. Donald was

“I go here quite a bit for very specific things and to take advantage of their coupons/promotions.
I feel like a lot of negative reviews forget this is a Dollar General. Every single one of them is understaffed, messy, and typically have stock blocking isles because the one person working has to go from restocking to checking out at a moments notice.
Due to the proximity to a large number of STRs and campgrounds they can oftentimes get inundated with customers and the lines can be long sometimes or stock can be low.
While DG itself could be described as a terrible company that drives out mom and pop shops in rural areas and is focused on profits at all costs - including their employees well being… I appreciate this store and the people that work there.”
“I can't really say what the shopping experience is like as I pulled in the parking lot to turn around and head in the other direction. It worked very well for that. I would do it again if the need arose.”

“The evening lady Ray was Fantastic she helped us out tremendously a fabulous store to visit and get great gifts. If you're ever in gatlinburg go see Ray For great Service she is full of energy! You can find everything in this store from lottery to tshirts mugs and hats”

“Lovely little place. Stopped by to grab some ice to keep food in the cooler safe and some firewood to cook for my son and I. We were out of town and got stuck with limited options. The sweetest work was so nice to us both and made sure to keep my son happy. 100/10 will return every time I am in the area to support them fully.”
