“Arrived to our cabin for vacation and about 15 minutes prior I noticed my trucks brakes felt like they were “dragging”. I’m fairly mechanically inclined so I knew the caliper was stuck and possibly a collapsed brake line. I found Brandon after calling two others places that were closed being that it was shortly after 5pm. Spoke with Brandon, relayed my issue, he showed up with both parts in hand, completed the job and done before 7pm. Within less than 2 hours of calling, my truck is problem free and back on the road. Highly recommend and more than anything, didn’t have to wait around at a shop, figure out transportation. Call Brandon if you need service!Also, his pup, Lexi is adorable.”

“SPECTACULAR! Shannon and his team saved the day for us!On day 1, while traveling from the Delaware to Arizona, our rig (2022 Class A Diesel Pusher) gave us a Park Brake Not Set visual warning with an incessant audible bell (the brake did actually set, but still, the warning). We pulled into our RV Park at 9pm on Sunday of the long Martin Luther King weekend. It was 30 degrees, and snow had just begun to fall from the huge storm that was to last 2 days and cover half of the U.S. Because of the parking brake warning, we could neither drop our leveling jacks nor extend our slides. Further, because the audible warning was continuous while power was on the rig, we had to disconnect the chassis batteries to silence it, thereby losing all control of the electronic visors, door lock, etc. After multiple fruitless calls throughout the day and evening to Freightliner, and vain attempts to troubleshoot the problem myself at night in the cold and snow, I accepted the fact that we were going to finish this cross-country trip with the slides closed, climbing over the furniture.The next day (the holiday!), I was referred to Shannon's Twisted Steel. Shannon and his son came out SAME DAY in what now was 32 degrees and moderate wet snow. They found and fixed the problem, got our rig operating properly again, all for a very reasonable price, and did so with the utmost professionalism and friendly demeanor any customer could ask for. Their knowledge of Freightliner systems (and RVs in general) is second to none, and I cannot give them enough stars to show my appreciation for their hard work and commitment to their customers.The Knoxville area is BLESSED to have this company within it's city limits! “HIGHLY RECOMMEND TO LOCALS AND VACATIONERS!!! Over the weekend my family and I visited Cades Cove and let the sunroof back on our car. When we got ready to close it, it was stuck, we were four hours from home, and rain was on the way. We stopped at the nearest shop and was told it was the motor and to close it they’d have to cut a wire and it’d cost us a lot of money. We decided to stop at car-d-ology and see if they could squeeze us in. They told us to pull on up and they got started, even let us leave our kids buckled in and sleeping. We stood and talked with them for about thirty minutes while they worked to get it unhung (it definitely wasn’t the motor like the first place said.) It finally came loose and was able to close. They told us no charge and even refused money when my husband tried to give them some anyways. We would have gladly paid them anything they asked- they saved our vacation! But instead, we were told to take our kids to do something fun with it. These are hands down the best people and if you’re not going here, you’re missing out!”

“Very honest and doesn't price gouge like some shopsHad my truck at an other shop where they said I need a new transmission and quoted a high price. My friend recommended Louis from Mussi Auto so I called him and asked for an estimate. His price was more reasonable so I had the truck towed to him. Not long after, I received a call that my transmission was in great condition, I just needed a new transfer case. He replaced the transfer case in a reasonable time and since, I've brought both mine and my wife's cars to him and have no complaints”

“Just got in to town for vacation and AC just stopped blowing cold air. Sound familiar? I checked all my fuses and relays. Did all kinds of research on the Internet to determine that I have no idea what my issue is and that the fix was likely out of my league. Of course the Ford dealership was booked 2 weeks out. Another place we called didn't have any availability the week we were in town.This is where Sherman, the Manager at Sure Start saved us. I called Sure Start, Sherman told me to bring it over and that he had 3 customers ahead of us. Having limited other options, I drove over right away. Pulled up to find him working outside on another vehicle. He took a quick break to diagnose my problem and within 10 minutes verified that my freon was good, however my AC clutch on the compressor was bad. He took the time to show and demonstrate the issue to me. He immediately called a guy and found a compressor, quoted me a reasonable price, told me to drop it off the next day and told me when he would have the work done.In the end, he had it fixed when he said it would be done and the price was right. I found Sherman to be a straight shooter, tells you like it is, and is of integrity. While this is definately not your dealership service mechanic (a little bit off the beaten path and garage has alot going on), Sherman helped us out by giving me confidence in his work, setting expectations and delivering on those expectations at a fair price. Rally appreciate what he did and now we have AC for the remainder of our vacation and the ride home.Thank you Sure Start!!!Service: Air conditioning”
