“Honestly the only person who really knew how to help me was the, I’m guessing he’s the, store manager. He immediately identified the issue of why my order was cancelled and endure my order would come through… which it did. Past that, other than checking out… it wasn’t a great experience. Not only was my order cancelled without my knowledge, but (after confirming by looking through my messages - which I keep them all) I was never called to let me know it was in even though supposedly someone made a note that I received a call on the 15th. I called to ask if my order we in, it was, I said I would be in to pick it up. Later that day I went it, but couldn’t pick it up because it wasn’t “properly inventoried on the truck”. Now I believe the person when they told me this as they seemed very trustworthy, however, I don’t understand why a phone call to the manager or to a manager would’ve so difficult to find out a work around. Now I’m not saying I deserve special treatment or that I’m entitled or anything, but an honest effort would’ve been nice. In fairness, I did arrive closer to closing time, so I understand protocol, and did not make a scene as turn around a left. I did finally, a couple days later because of my job, pick up my order earlier today. Easy enough. Gave my name and he walked over, grabbed it, and there we that. I completely understand and am empathetic to the retail worker plight, as I’ve been in retail management for almost 20 years for various different companies. And I think a little reality check is always in order to ensure whether processes are actually designed to make it easier to help a customer, or the corporation. And in this case… it was to save the corporation. I truly believe the nice worker who told me about the inventory situation truly believes that if they stepped out of line there would be consequences. Hence, designed to help the corporate entity from being sued, as opposed to empower the associate to do he next right thing for the customer. It would’ve been very simple to keep a log of what happened, with the sku or upc and make sure that it was fixed properly in the back end instead of the front. And to the employee who cancelled my order without notifying me as to why… which there was none… stop being lazy! Do your job and take some pride in it. I hate retail too, but it’s work so might as well accept it. And if not, (as the song goes) “if you don’t like your life, then you can go and change it”! And a great thanks to the manager- they’re not paying you, nor the nice person who felt they couldn’t help me for fear of losing their job, enough. You deserve more than 5%. And to batteries plus… treat your employees better.”

“My truck blew a radiator hose and I was stranded two hours from home. The staff at this O'Reilly's got me one in a couple of hours and delivered it to me where I was broke down. Without their great customer service this situation would have been much worse for me. On a side note other part stores in the area refused to deliver the hose to me even though they had it in stock. I will be ever grateful to the staff that helped me out. Thank you”
