About Austin History Center | Austin Public Library
The Austin History Center (AHC) is currently under construction and closed, but its stunning building remains impressive. Visitors have found it to be a great place for research, with helpful staff and a beautiful environment. Despite being closed during a recent visit, the building’s grandeur left a lasting impression, and many look forward to returning to complete their research projects. The center’s archives are valuable for various interests, including art projects and local history. Overall, the AHC is highly regarded for its architecture, friendly staff, and the wealth of historical resources it offers to those passionate about Austin’s history.
The AHC is under construction and closed, although I called ahead, so I could not complete my research -however-the monumental magnificance of the beautiful building was still amazing! I can not WAIT to come back and complete research!

Fun place, they're closing for a month to relocate. Would love to visit the new place once I can.
