Colton House Hotel is a small, extremely nice, and very clean hotel with a cool, trendy vibe. The decor is beautiful, eclectic, and urban. The rooms are spacious, spotless, and extremely nice, often featuring a full kitchen. They are nicely designed and appointed, though some find the beds rather uncomfortable. The hotel offers several areas to lounge, including a beautiful patio, a lovely two-level bar/lounge with a nice outdoor space and pool, and a coffee shop. Food and beverage options are very good, with delicious pastries and cocktails available, though the only real food on-site is from a food truck. The location is great in Austin, described as transitional but very close to lots of restaurants. Great shopping and food are reachable with a short walk or drive, though it is a little far to walk to South Congress. The hotel feels super safe and secure, requiring keys for elevators and doors in the evening. Covered gated parking is available but is extra and considered expensive by some, with an inadequate and flawed management system. While some service experiences were unacceptable, the hotel staff is generally super friendly and helpful, and management works to make things right for guests.

My wife and a friend stayed here when visiting Austin for a girl’s trip. Hotel staff was super friendly and helpful. Beautiful patio and hotel. Super safe with keys needed for elevators and front doors after 7 pm. Felt safe, secure and gorgeous setting.

We love staying at the Colton House- we always look to stay here when visiting family here in Austin. You cannot beat the roommate and accommodations, the building so clean and trendy and beautifully done- and decisions pastries and cocktails you can enjoy by the pool. We will be back over and over again.
