“Excellent experience -- highly recommend staying here. Great location (easy to get around, even without a car the whole time), walking distance to multiple restaurants and stores, and low noise even though our room faced the street. The room was beautiful, the hotel was super clean, and the staff were so helpful. I will definitely stay here again.”

“I'm giving the Lone Star Court a "4" rating based on top caliber bar staff who are friendly, quick, knowledgeable and very cool. I live in the neighborhood and love stopping by. Live music several nights a week is a big plus, and the artists really good. everything is ATX here except the food, which is awful. tacos are cubed meat covered in slaw, dry and with zero taste. Cups of barbecue sauce and ketchup help, but the cardboard-like taco makes even the souped up chunks hard to find, chew and swallow. Egg rolls are much better, however! the chicken fried steak is possibly the worst I've ever eaten. Nonetheless, bar staff, music and decor pull this place through to a 4-.”

“Excellent hotel with excellent breakfast. Christina at reception was absolutely a gem. Her enthusiasm and kindness was exactly what you want when you check in. She even wished me well in a presentation I had to give. I have never felt so well cared for as a customer. I wish everyone e was like Christina at hotel check in. She really wanted me to enjoy all the amenities. That felt great. I can’t say enough great things about her.”

“We love E 6th in general, but this has to be the best addition in a long time! It has an awesome view and good cocktails (strong), my only complaint is too much garnish and I don’t love the plastic cups. It can get VERY crowded so I definitely recommend going earlier in the evening or during the week. It has an exclusive speakeasy vibe which makes it feel really cozy. Perfect spot for pictures, enjoying the sunset, or taking out of towners for the city views.”

“My Wife and I stayed at the Hampton this past weekend and was very impressed with the overall condition and the courteous of the staff, especially with Rose Brown-Weeder. She was absolutely great and so helpful. We had our Golden Retriever with us and you would had thought he was the most important creature in Austin. Shadow was treated like royalty and everyone knew him by first name. The Hampton will be my motel in Austin from now on.”

“Our stay at the Carpenter was fantastic. We booked late in the night, rolled up not knowing what to expect - the service was amazing. Everyone was great, the rooms are beautiful. Seems like every surface is raw materials - it’s grounding and lovely. Highlight of the stay was Drew at the desk! He was so helpful and easy to talk to! Someone promote this guy! We are lucky for this experience. Thanks y’all!Food & drinks: We had breakfast, happy hour, and dinner at the Carpenter Hall - Vicki was so sweet. Creative dishes and great service.”

“I love great customer service. Everyone was so friendly. I really appreciate the front desk manager. He offered a personal postage stamp so I could send my post card to my loved one. “I came with some clients and had a bit of a wrinkle with the check-in staff due to an oversight on their end, however, I - and my clients - truly enjoyed our stay here. The hotel is lovely, easy to navigate, great restaurants and food options, room service was fantastic. I would love to stay here again. The location is perfect if you're doing things downtown/south Austin/ UT campus - anywhere really. It's right off I-35. Highly recommend!!”

“Front desk attendants Rachel and Manuel were so welcoming and full of energy. They welcomed me with some cold refreshing water which is needed in this Texas heat my room was clean and with a good view. When I had a question I was answered professionally by Tari. Such a pleasant experience!”

“Stayed for two nights. Beautifully decorated, clean, and comfortable cottages on a serene property. Wonderful place to unplug and get away from it all. It was conveniently located to grab food at close-by restaurants. The shower/tub combo in cottage 2 has amazing water pressure and the tub is large enough for a nice soak. All of the linens are excellent quality. The towels were plush and super absorbent; the sheets and bedding were super soft and cozy. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. The air conditioning worked very well and kept us cool in the Texas heat. There was a small salt water pool that we didn’t have time to enjoy, but looked lovely.Only negative for us was there was no way to heat water (no microwave), or options for a tea drinker. Had a Keurig with coffee pods available (sugar but no cream). Solved my dilemma with a quick stop at the local HEB for cheap electric kettle. Not a big deal at all. The place is so thoughtfully appointed and this would only have added to our wonderful stay. Only mentioning it to allow for future travelers to make plans.Rooms: Beautiful and comfortable. Has mini-fridge, Keurig, and small tv. Excellent cell service. No microwave.Safety: Felt very safe.Walkability: Not wheelchair accessible. Has well lit flagstones paths from parking and other cottages.Food & drinks: Cafe is not open 7 days a week. Unable to enjoy. Looked quaint with a good menu. Would love to try next time.Noteworthy details: Luxurious linens. Fabulous water pressure. Quiet rooms.”

“This was one of my favorite hotels I've stayed in! The location is perfect for dining and shopping at The Domain; do yourself a favor and walk to Perry's for dinner! The rooms were well appointed with everything you would need, including a Nespresso and little things like q-tips and a great makeup mirror. We treated ourselves to breakfast in bed and the waffle was delicious! The standard king room is a tad small but not uncomfortable.”

“It was a good and comfortable experience staying at this hotel, the rooms were very clean, the beds were very, very comfortable, and the breakfast was very rich, the attention of all the staff was excellent, especially Mrs. Cecy. I would definitely stay at this hotel again. I highly recommend it ?Rooms: Comfortable, comfortable, comfortable, very comfortable and clean.Nearby activities: The Capitol 17 minutes away, nearby parks and places to eat.Safety: The place and surroundings are very quiet.”

“My husband and I pretty much exclusively stay at Aloft hotels when we travel, and they’ve all been awesome. However, this location has exceeded my expectations! You can enjoy clean, nicely decorated rooms and smell good all day with the Drybar products stocked in each bathroom at any location, but the guest/customer service here was exceptional. Joy at the front desk went above and beyond for me during our stay! Thank you so much, Joy! We will stay at this location again next time we’re in Austin.”

“I initially used to visit JW downtown during my trips to Austin, but after it recently started becoming overcrowded, I decided to give Austin Proper a try, and I am very glad that I did! The hotel has so many great restaurants, the staff are so welcoming, and the spa as well as gym are very luxurious. I also rented a Tesla for a night, which was something really unique that I haven't done at any other hotel. I’m glad I made the choice to upgrade after my first night because the suite I stayed in was very nice and open, with beautiful views of Austin’s downtown. The rooms are all decorated very nicely, and it’s clear that they invested heavily in design and technology. I would highly recommend and will definitely be coming back!”

“Small beautiful hotel with complementary coffee, tea, beer, and wine 24/7. As another commenter said it’s like living in a modern art museum. Micheal and the staff there are always ready to help in any way. The location is fantastic, walking distance to everything South Congress has to offer. Highly recommend Suite A, it’s in the back of the hotel. It has a huge shower and separate tub.”

“The only reason for a 4 star location was simply because it's not anything uniquely locatedBut it is very convenient for being by the airport. The beds were amazing, black out curtains, clean rooms and bathroom with plenty of counter space, big TV to check the weather out easily when getting ready to leave. I'd recommend this to anyone.”

“This has been one of the best Holiday Inn Express hotels that we have stayed at for a while. They pride themselves in keeping it clean, everything works, the customer service was wonderful from morning, noon and night, and the breakfast was great with a pancake machine that works, and yes that is important when traveling with your kids. We will definitely be staying here again!Rooms: Rooms were very clean and comfortable. We had two queen beds.”

“The front desk staff were so accommodating. I forgot a form and they let me email it and printed me a few extra copies to keep in my bag. Then I had to leave a night early. They told me it was no problem and promptly sent my bill minus the other night. I would 10/10 recommend this hotel if you need a clean airport hotel with large rooms and kind staff.”

“Came to a conference here at Renaissance and wow it's a beautiful hotel! Everything was great, except the AC in the ballroom we were in was not working, and with 250+ people in the room it can get pretty hot. Otherwise, great experience. Service was amazing. I would definitely stay here in the future.”
