“Great sausage and super friendly and helpful service! I came in and had a lot of questions about various sausages, and everything was patiently explained to me. Also very affordable like $5 for a pack of sausage. Great deal in this economy.”

“I buy my some of my meats from here for my BBQ business. The owner and employees are fast, helpful and very nice. I personally recommend their lamb jalapeño cheddar sausage, it is cheap by comparison to anything ive seen and is super delicious as well as made in house.”

“Delicious shrimp pistolette and cheesey boudain ball. My husband enjoyed his roast beef poboy and chicken and sausage gumbo, but didn't think it was worth the price. I'd go back.”

“Great store has many Mexican options including huge tortillas which are hard to find near me in Kyle, but the service was slow and they only had two checkout lanes open so took about 15 minutes to check out. Bakery had many fresh options. Pretty good Mexican super market.”

“I love this place. The staff is very kind, despite my terrible Spanish. They have an excellent selection of fresh produce and everything else too. Even the meat is very fresh. This place is sparkling clean!”

“Everything is so good and so fresh! Everyone that works there is very friendly and knowledgeable. Just a note...look up menu online and then call in your order. They get very busy at lunch time and you don't want to miss out.”

“It was a pleasure shopping at Hudson Meat, excellent and friendly service and a good value product. Can't beat great customer care, a smile and Christmas cheer.”

“Really great sausage, especially the bratwurst and bulk Italian, though the breakfast sausage and jalapeño and cheese are quite better than average as well.Turn around time is great, like any other small business, at the height of the season it takes a bit longer than early or late season.Really nice folks too”

“Decent BBQ but nothing really spectacular. Seemed a little generic, no real "wow" factor. The sausage was the best meat we got, brisket was a little dry and a bit tough, baby back ribs were also slightly dry, but had decent flavor. Both were probably smoked too fast or sat too long before served. Neither had much traditional pit bbq flavor, but had a great smoke ring! All that being said, it's still a decent place to eat without having to wait hours in line for the real deal”

“I go almost every day to get something. Tacos, grated cheese by the pound, drinks, and they ordered the cigarettes i smoke so I didn't have to go searching for a store that had them. Friendly people, clean store, competitive prices, and hot tacos what more can you ask from a corner store.”

“Its not Arlans anymore-This place was formerly minimax. Back then it was like 50's time warp. A few years ago it was taken over by Arlan's, a small chain. It was a big improvement, more produce, better products, better hours and more. As of Spring 2021 it has been taken over by Fresh Plus. As of Sept 2021 they are still re-arranging and re-stocking the store so in some respects it is a work in progress. But what I've seen so far is a reduction in the variety of products they carry (especially produce) . You don't shop here if your on a budget as well. They do have an expanded beer and wine selection which seems to take up about 1/5 of the store now, I guess that's what sells at greater margins. The other "neighborhood" grocery stores have similar footprints for booze.Hours got cut (they close at 9) from Arlans, not quite as much charm either. The last of the mini-max era people have left as well. We'll see how it finally shakes out.It still a good place to go to pick up something fast (if they ever quit moving things around and you can find it).”

“This has just has to be your go to place for great ham, turkey, sides. The workers bees there are the greatest, I made an error when ordering on line, and the girl who saw the error contacted me after the store was closed and before she left for the day. Now that’s going way above and beyond. My order was prepaid and I walked in and out in less than ten minutes and that was on Good Friday, 2024. Thank you! Oh their ribs, are to die for! Delicious!”

“Their cakes are wonderful and a fraction of the cost of any bakery. They are so kind and accommodating. No store does more, than my H‑E‑B. This is the best location by far.”

“A well-stocked store on the edge of the city of Austin; mostly products you find in Mexican supermarkets. Good attention from the guys in the butchery area. The vegetable area is a bit of a problem because they are not always fresh and during my visit there was a cooler in poor condition which showed rust due to the passage of time and they do not do anything to change or restore it.There is a food area inside the store.”

“My wife and I shopped at La Michoacana often when living in Dove Springs. They have great prices on most items, beating HEB and Fiesta quite often. The fruits and veggies are always fresh and very affordable, the meat is lean and reasonably priced, milk & bread are fresh; the only thing that is to expensive is the olive oil. They also have a check cashing service, which helped when I was working at the labor hall across the street. All the employees are friendly and helpful, even when I mangle the Spanish language trying to be polite and appreciative of the culture. We love the tacos al pastor as well! Not a huge store, but you can't beat it for all your staple goods.”

“Open 7a-10p; Come inside for the TAQUERIA they have amazing pastor tacos! Fresh produce with a wide Mexican variety, including many spices, fruits & vegetables that you can’t always find at the big chains grocery. Meat selection has everything you need and pre-seasoned options. Plenty of parking. Beer, wine & mixers, spirits available. Bakery that makes custom cakes, fresh pan dulce.”

“If you haven't shopped here because you're used to the big box stores, you are missing out. If you like cooking Mexican food, shop where they have authentic ingredients. Prices for the most part are lower than the completion. The employees are pretty cool too. Very helpful. Looking for a good selection of Mexican cheese? Look no further. Try it, you'll love it.”

“This store was very clean and the staff was very helpful. I got some small groceries and also some marinated fajita meat and it was very good! Produce section was very clean and organized. You can also order food and sit down to eat on one side. Prices were very reasonable. Definitely will be back!”

“In the little cafe inside, I ordered the Chile Relleno de Queso, with just some salsita. The nice little man asked me what kind of sauce would I like, I could have anything I wanted, and he named some of the standard sauces they serve. I perused the hot buffet, and I said I was looking for a salsita that has onions and bell peppers. He said he would make me some. If he isn’t here when you come by, don’t look in my kitchen, I may have taken him as my personal cook!”

“Shop there regularly, close to my house, small business, independent grocer, good guy,,hispanic. A little on the pricier side, ethnic food, mostly hispanic products. The main man is cool, doesn't speak slot of english, but if you shop there regularly he remembers his customers, always friendly. Have some super size burgers $5 and lots of other grill foods in store.”

“We own a food trailer, and use Martin about once a week. The 2 people that we've been "5-Star" impressed by are the new rep, Sam, and Reggie, in the warehouse. Both of them always go above & beyond for their clients! Thank you! Keep up the good work!”
