Royal Blue Grocery is a super cute neighborhood gem and a hipster grocery store that feels like a warm hug from Austin itself. It is a small, local corner store with a great vibe. The store is orderly and clean, offering a convenient selection of essentials, local TX items, and some healthier drink and snack options. It features a cozy coffee spot, a menu for light meals, and a fantastic plant-based selection for vegans. There are shelves of wine and what appears to be fresh baked items, including an amazing pastry case with tasty pastries and insanely delicious cookies. The staff is super friendly, helpful, and nice, turning a grocery run into a cheerful experience. However, prices are higher than big box stores, with everything marked up approximately 30-70% compared to standard grocery stores. The store has the ability to use digital pay at the register, though the mandatory tip selection on the software program seems a little over the top to some. It is not just a store; it is a slice of home and a pretty awesome place with its own swag, even featuring a shrine dedicated to animals.
Super cute with local TX items and some healthier drink and snack options. Love the vibe for making a quick picnic or night in. Prices are higher than big box store, in some cases significantly higher.

Everything is marked up ~30-70% compared to standard grocery stores. Otherwise, selection of items is convenient but I just can’t get behind the prices.

Cute grocery with hot sandwiches. Lots of artisanal food products and specialty items.
