“Drove 1 1/2 hrs just to go here...worth it to get the sweet potato fries from the chicken place. Got most of the stuff off my list, have they have the best ramen selection. Got most of what I wanted but not all that I needed”

“Great little shop with a huge selection of goods. Every time we are in town we visit this shop. The staff is always polite, and helpful. The locatin of this shop is perfect, we stop at this shop to avoid going to a busier less clean typical convenience store. I don't have a problem going out of my way to stop at this location, It is a much better shopping experience and I'm always in and out in a matter of minutes, plus it's one of the cleanest stores I've been in.”

“I shop at Wheatsville in south Austin over other grocery stores in my area because they carry a condensed version of what I want in the way of groceries, supplements, and sundries and I can avoid giant box stores. Also important to me at Wheatsville are the helpful workers who show a kind, tolerant and helpful attitude toward me, and to the nearby houseless people that visit. They have set reasonable boundaries and show respectful regard to everyone it seems. Thanks Wheats. I love you.”

“In a super clean, very organized supermarket, good service and you get Latin products, which you won't get in supermarket chains. The cashiers are very friendly.”

“Desi brothers is the best option for Indian grocery around the area. They also have fresh vegetables most of the time, which is a plus. But some of the items are past expiry so always check date before buying anything. The cafe inside is also pretty decent...most of the items taste authentic. Overall it is a go-to Indian grocery store for everything”

“Loved this little store for a quick wine, candy, or dog food grab. Also picked up a sub pretty late one night, and the avocado was still all green, five stars, well done.”

“Royal Blue Grocery is a neighborhood gem! Walking in feels like a warm hug from Austin itself. The staff is super friendly, turning a grocery run into a cheerful experience. They've got your essentials, a cozy coffee spot, and a menu for light meals that hits the spot. Vegans, you're covered too – they've got a fantastic plant-based selection. It's not just a store; it's a slice of home right in the neighborhood.”

This is not a commerical restaurant ... it is slightly off the beaten path no, fluff, fancy lights or machinery its all about the food here ...no extra workers to make deliveries just a simple down home AUTHENTIC african restaurant which is also an international market. If you are a foodie this is where you go. This experience is best when sitting at the table in this restaurant with football on the tv and african music in the backgroung. “A lot of variety of products, things that I can't find in other places, I find them in this place, it's not the best in price, but I find what I'm looking for ?”

“The parking is a nightmare. But so many people with the same intentions balanced it out. I found everything I needed swiftly and easily. The lines to check out were long but still fast. All said it's where I go to shop.”

“This is a great place to escape into a different culture for a few moments. On entry to the market you step right in to the smells of the Indian continent. The curry, turmeric and chana masala along with other savory scents welcome you as if you are exiting a bus to a outdoor marketplace. They also have fresh produce and other staples of Indian style food such as rice, beans, peas and grains. Step in here next time you have a little adventurous spirit and spice up your life.”

“Its not Arlans anymore-This place was formerly minimax. Back then it was like 50's time warp. A few years ago it was taken over by Arlan's, a small chain. It was a big improvement, more produce, better products, better hours and more. As of Spring 2021 it has been taken over by Fresh Plus. As of Sept 2021 they are still re-arranging and re-stocking the store so in some respects it is a work in progress. But what I've seen so far is a reduction in the variety of products they carry (especially produce) . You don't shop here if your on a budget as well. They do have an expanded beer and wine selection which seems to take up about 1/5 of the store now, I guess that's what sells at greater margins. The other "neighborhood" grocery stores have similar footprints for booze.Hours got cut (they close at 9) from Arlans, not quite as much charm either. The last of the mini-max era people have left as well. We'll see how it finally shakes out.It still a good place to go to pick up something fast (if they ever quit moving things around and you can find it).”

“I actually really like this location. Spacious, well stocked and never had to wait too long. Sadly, the exit from the parking lot is messed up and obviously has been an issue for many people.”

“Always the best getting a 2$ meal after spending 300$ for groceries! Love the occasional hot dog & free drink, not a churro fan but I enjoy the sundaes & smoothies. Plus they have 25¢ water bottles. Can't go wrong here”

“The pan dulces (pastries) are delicious and not too sweet --just like the way I like them! The tamales were to die for!!! Who would have thought a tamale near the cash register would blow my mind? The guy at the front desk knew because he looked at me with a smug smile. I'll surely be back... If anybody knows of the recipe... Please let me know!”

“Pretty great grocery store with a lot of fresh produce. This is the only market near me that I can pop in and get a bunch of fresh lemongrass when I need it. Great for pantry staples like ghee, spices, chutneys, and chili sauces. And why not stock your freezer with, say, a giant box of 24 potato and pea samosas? Tell me why not. There's also a ton of ice cream, yogurt, paneer, and lassi. There's a frozen fish case, lots of kinds of chicken - I got Tandoori-style wings, which I can't wait to try. There's naan out the ying-yang, including all kinds of roti and stuffed bread. And like I mentioned, it's not vegetarian, so maybe you can even find lamb in the freezer case. If you're lucky. When I popped in they were out of staples like chick peas and rice, but I will come back again when I run out of samosas and I bet they will have them in stock.”

“Very clean, well-maintained Mexican grocery store. It was hard to find organic items but I appreciated how fresh all the produce looks and there were what looked like deliciously homemade items at the front, including tamales.”

“The staff is the best, always friendly and helpful. My kids will make a trek to this safe neighborhood market for treats during the summer. Also, this is great place for buying bags of ice.”

“The fruteria here is amazing! They have the best sliced mangos around, and nothing is more refreshing that fresh sliced watermelon with a slice of lime. There is a hot food area and a good variety of produce and groceries. The management is very accommodating of special requests!I love this spot!”

“Gas pumps: One gas pump in particular has had issues, but there are plenty of options, and they work great. Not always the best prices.Alcoholic selection: Large for a gas station.Bathrooms: Only 1 bathroom. It is pretty spacious. It is kept neat, and the cashiers will give you a key to access it.Groceries: More than you'd find in most gas stations. They even have fruit!”

3.3 Good16 Reviews

“At HEB, food is fresh, prices are affordable and the employees are awesome. The only reason I'm not giving 5 stars is because this location runs out of items a lot. I went there today looking for chabata rolls and they were out. They also sadly don't have the HEB fresh tortillas here, but that's not new.”
