Sonesta ES Suites Austin The Domain Area is a hotel with a great location near good food and major roads, convenient for accessing downtown Austin and surrounding areas. The property features a beautiful courtyard, a clean and well-maintained pool with propane grills, and a spacious, clean room layout with comfortable beds, big TVs, and kitchenettes. Breakfast is frequently described as great or fantastic with good options. The staff receives consistent praise for being fantastic, helpful, and offering great customer service. Additional amenities include a decent gym, games for families, and a dining area. However, the hotel is currently under renovation. Some rooms show wear, such as stained carpets, though they are generally clean. A significant concern for some guests is its pet-friendly policy, which has led to complaints about noise from barking, pet smells, and safety worries regarding large dogs. There is also mention of an unexpected incident charge. While the location offers good nearby food, it is noted as not being within easy walking distance to restaurants.
