The LINE Austin is a hotel in a fantastic and central location, convenient and walkable to many areas, with great views of the river and lake from certain rooms and from the pool and rooftop bar. The lobby is great, featuring a bar, a restaurant, a coffee shop, and big fireplaces with lots of seating. The staff are described as amazing, outstanding, friendly, helpful, and accommodating.
Guest experiences with the rooms vary. They are noted as clean, large, very comfortable, private, and quiet in some cases, with very nice bathrooms, good materials, excellent shower pressure, and comfortable beds. Some rooms offer quaint and memorable furnishings. However, other reviews mention issues. Some rooms can feel lacking, with uncomfortable beds, dark bathrooms, and a need for more furniture and amenities, making them feel less functional. Concerns about cleanliness were noted in some rooms and in the hallways and common spaces, which can appear dirty or run down. A significant noise problem was reported in one specific room near mechanical equipment, though the staff responded promptly to move the guest.
The on-site food and drink at the restaurant and bar receive praise for being very delicious, great, and so good, with wonderful service. A recurring suggestion is for the hotel to make the beautiful restaurant and view areas more available for general use when the restaurant is closed. We had a lakeside view room. It was terrific! Pool was great. Drinks were cold. We ate at P6, the food and service were great. The location of this hotel could not be better!

Nice rooms, except for the beds are resting on the floor and not conducive to getting up if you are tall. Also, they charge exorbitant fees and service charges for credit card use without any warning. I’m not talking about the standard 3% or 4% either…17% fee for a valet tip.
