The UT Surplus REuse Store, operated by The University of Texas at Austin's Surplus Properties, is a weekly public sale offering a variety of items no longer needed by the university. The store sells a wide range of goods, including office chairs, dorm furniture, theater props, DVDs, hand tools, monitors, and old football jerseys. New arrivals come twice a week, providing fresh items for visitors to browse. The store is known for its low-cost prices and interesting finds, making it a fun place to explore, especially for those on north campus. While the staff are friendly and helpful, some customers have noticed that prices have increased recently. The store operates on specific days, mainly Thursdays and occasionally weekends, so visitors are encouraged to check opening times before visiting. Overall, the store aims to repurpose items, reduce waste, and offer affordable goods to the public.
so many incredible relics, chairs, desks… got a desk for $1 (anything that’s been there longer than 4-6 months becomes $1). 100% recommend and come early 👍

Even though the hours are crazy at the surplus store I still went and found a chair I needed, felt like a good quality and at a good price and I got to test it out before I left. A man named Stephen helped me load it up in my car and was friendly, thanks Reuse store!
