I thought the days were long gone when people would call you by name when you came into their business, I still know that there's some places and people that do that and Rukus. is one of them. They also has great prices on some of the stuff I've seen that it's even cheaper than Walmart, some of the candy and ice cream even the sodas and some dairy products are cheaper than Walmart. And don't forget about the lottery tickets I've won more from the scratch offs from Bedford mini Mart than any other place and I buy them from 7-Eleven and all kinds of other places and I've won the most at Bedford mini Mart. “Without disputing the other reviews, I typically get fresh and hard to find items so there's not much of a chance for a surprise. They are indispensable for impossible to find Salvadorean items, like pito flowers (they had them frozen). I like being able to practice my Spanish there- you have to think ahead, know what you're doing and listen, because no quarter will be given. So, yeah, the service is more than a bit brusque, but if you don't cause problems they're nice-neutral. Prices are a bit pricey on items you can get elsewhere ($5 for a pound of Salvadorean red beans, $3 at Kroger). Bottom line, I'm glad they're here. They're a great resource when you want to make cocina centroamericana!”
