“Very nice hotel. Great location as a home base to Hamilton pool, Johnson City, Spicewood, etc. Great sunset from the rooftop bar.Walking distance to many bars, restaurants, and shops.”

“First thing I noticed when I walked in was a smell of a gas leak. I immediately brought up the smell to the front desk. She addressed they were having issues with a boiler and were having it fixed. Otherwise, the front desk lady was super friendly and checked us in fast. There lots of fast food & dine in options at a walking distance or 3 minute drive max. Also, an HEB located at walking distance. In a nice and quiet area. Our room & bathroom were very clean. Their snack and food store downstairs in the lobby does not have many options. I think that’s something they could add more items to so that guest have more options to chose from.Great stay!”

“We just stayed at The Wayback this last weekend. We have family in Hill Country and wanted to be nearby while still having close proximity to Austin's downtown area. We will absolutely stay at The Wayback for all future visits. We stayed in cottage #7. The cottage was pristine, the walk-in shower was large and there were plenty of towels and washcloths. We loved the ambience and coziness of the cottage as well as the staff's wonderful service. We didn't have a chance to eat at the cafe but we took a breakfast sandwich to go and some coffee and they were wonderful. The grounds are beautiful and well manicured and the overall feeling of the property is really beautiful. We were only 10-15 min from the main part of Austin and also within 10-15 min of wineries, breweries, great restaurants and beautiful drives.”

“We enjoyed the beautiful setting in Barton Creek surrounded by golf and nature. Service was 5 star everywhere we went in the resort. It was a thoroughly enjoyable and relaxing weekend getaway.”

“Played a golf tournament and stayed at the Omni. Service was impeccable and the golf course was in perfect condition. If only my putting would have been in perfect condition…”

“My husband and I pretty much exclusively stay at Aloft hotels when we travel, and they’ve all been awesome. However, this location has exceeded my expectations! You can enjoy clean, nicely decorated rooms and smell good all day with the Drybar products stocked in each bathroom at any location, but the guest/customer service here was exceptional. Joy at the front desk went above and beyond for me during our stay! Thank you so much, Joy! We will stay at this location again next time we’re in Austin.”

“My little family enjoyed our stay at Hotel Viata. The staff was extra nice and a big shout out to Ms. Teri and Drew who really made us feel welcome even though we were sort of country come to town.Very nice place, bathroom doors don’t offer a lot of privacy but that’s about all we saw that we would have changed. The carpet looked a little rough in our room also. But that’s minor stuff that’s certainly not a deal breaker. Definitely a great place to stay, with excellent staff and service. Would definitely recommend.Safety: Felt very safe here at all times, wasn’t worried about anything.”

“This is one of the more unique events centers you will ever find. A former zipline location it has a up to date and clean event section for rooms and events, Like marriages family gatherings and business corporate events. Really big. The biggest wow factor is the nest which is a is series of tree houses All with comfortable amenities but crows nests, safe but rickety sounding bridges, A lot of stairs but a ton of fun for adults and kids. The reason I gave lower marks to Service is that it's all automated check in online. You never meet the staff outside of the ground's keeper who's trolling around in a golf cart, super guy and I'm sure if there was a problem they could fix it but you never meet the staff. We will be coming back, And telling others. It is a bit remote so pack in all your food, Liquor beer anything that you could possibly one without having to make a trip. The facility does have washing machines plumbing electricity. And as I said is very clean and well maintained.Safety: Though I'm sure legally it is possible for people with disabilities there are a ton of stairs in certain places.”

“Clean room. Felt safe. Comfy bed. Good soft but supportive pillows. Nice TV, fridge. Adequate bathroom. Shower output was faster than the drain (ankle-deep water by end of shower). Really nice to have hot food selections. Eggs (are they reconstituted?), a protein (sausage patties, sliced maple sausage - my 2 mornings there), and potatoes. The rest is typical continental breakfast items.Location: interesting, nestled back from the highway, giving a safe feeling. You can only enter from/exit one direction. If you're coming from the opposite direction, you'll need to make a u-turn, which is kind of annoying. One side entrance of the building wasn't working, limiting cars to crowd the other side, parking-wise. Should be a prior to fix this, IMO.Would I stay here again? Yes, I would, because of the price point. Great value, and perfect location for my needs (business stay).”

“Absolute horrible experience with this hotel. I stayed there two nights. I paid the first night through Expedia and the second one at the hotel. The next day they charge me for a third night. And when I contacted them, they inform me that they would give me a refund for the extra night that I was charged. However, not only did that not happen I was charged again for another night. I have been waiting for a call from Victoria for five days now and I still have not heard from her. I now have two additional charges on my account and haven’t seen zero refund and have had zero response from Victoria the general manager. They caused my accounts to bounce and extra fees removed. BEWARE FRAUD FRAUD FRAUD”

“I normally don't stay at motels but this was kind of a last second thing. The motel was off the highway, not too far from a large shopping center which was nice. The exterior of the motel looked like it was unfinished like they had primed it but not painted it.There was a small putting green in this field next to the hotel which I thought was odd and there was no swimming pool, I'm not sure if there used to be an in the ground or above ground pool because all there was was just a concrete space enclosed in a fence with a old life preserver hanging on the fence. Now to the room it was relatively clean and the bed was very comfortable, the air conditioning worked just fine. The noise level was pretty good, I have noise canceling earphones so that made it even more quiet. The shower had really good water pressure and it was nice and hot. There was also a nice mini fridge that kept my drinks cold. The parking spaces made it a little tricky because they were all diagonal and there were some guys that had moving trucks and moving vans that took up more than one space ,so it was really tight. So overall a good experience for a small motel. My only suggestion would be is maybe they could paint the outside and make it look nicer and probably hang up some curtains inside the hotel room instead of having one big shade.”

“This is a great lodge. I had to book something last minute, and they were able to accommodate me at a fair price. The front desk receptionist was personable and funny, so check in was pleasant. The overall feel was very charming, and exactly what I wanted for my first night in Texas. An added bonus was they had the western channel, so I was able to watch Gunsmoke on TV before going to bed.Anyone who left less than 5 stars is probably a city slicker from New York, so please ignore their reviews. Come support a local business. You won't be disappointed.”

“Very nice quite gettaway! The Shores is in a pretty Hill Country setting. We loved seeing the deer roaming the grounds. We could either roam the grounds or leave the resort and explore the Hill Country!”

“Clean, quiet, no fuss, prompt and friendly service. Nice little kitchenettes and provide basic cookware. Well positioned relative to the rest of Austin, for walking and driving. Only would like higher water pressure in the shower.Rooms: Studio suites with nice little kitchenettesWalkability: Easy walking access to the rest of Austin, including about 2 hours to downtown with only one intersection without a crosswalk”

“Our hotel room was ransacked and many items stolen at 10 am shortly after we left the room in the morning. Hotel has inadequate security with no functioning card readers or security cameras at the entrances/exits with the exception of video camera in the lobby. Hotel staff was slow to respond when we called to get their help. The GM was unavailable. When the GM came to talk to us the next day, he claimed no one had been in our room while we were gone. Find my device indicated our devices were one mile away at an apartment complex within one hour of our departure. While LaQuinta was of no help, the Police officer was very kind and helpful. I would not recommend staying at this hotel because the GM admitted they were aware of the gaps in their security but have no plans to rectify it because they are doing renovations and will not have secure entries until renovation is completed. He said their former security system was outdated.Safety: Standard security measures that are expected are absent.”
