H-E-B Pharmacy is ranked #1 in customer satisfaction for supermarket pharmacies. The health and safety of customers is its top priority, and it is a trusted source for all routine immunizations and the COVID-19 vaccine. The location on Villa Maria Road is fast and easy for shopping and is usually not overcrowded. Most of the staff are very nice and considerate. One staff member is described as exceptional, knowledgeable, caring, and loving, going above and beyond to help. Another staff member made a customer's day better by efficiently checking information, filling a prescription, and handling insurance, which lifted a weight off the customer's chest and made life easier. However, there can be problems with medication manufacturers. A customer switched to H-E-B because it offered a specific manufacturer, but now receives a different one. One pharmacist said they could try to get the original back, while another said they get what the warehouse sends and there is nothing they can do. The customer was told the pharmacy may have gone with a cheaper medication, which is wrong in so many ways, especially if the customer is paying more. The request is for the pharmacy to stick with manufacturers whose medications work.
