“I've come to know Thom Thumb over the years as a more upscale, specialty item store. You come to expect a certain service & standard. I usually have no problems. Hence my 4 star rating for Thom Thumb overall.
Desoto, TX location:
Husband put in order for graduation cake 2 weeks ago. He asked the woman if he needed to leave a down payment & needed to call to verify cake order. He was told no. Cake would be ready & pay when cake was ready. Went to pick up cake on Saturday, May 28th and the bakery didn't see the order. So we ended up with no cake for graduation party that day. It was too late to order another one from Thom Thumb or anywhere else. Very unprofessional. Usually when I've ordered cakes from Thom Thumb at other locations, there's been no problem. This is the first & last time I'll ever order another cake from Desoto, TX Disappointed especially around the deli and prepared food area. No it had nothing to do with customer service or an unclean store. It's the lack of specialty items that I've grown accustomed in other Thom Thumb stores. Even the meat in the "lunchbox" was cubed instead of shaved. It was different than what I usually buy in other Thom Thumbs. I was also looking for sushi rolls but none. Also the hot soups station was non-existent. I felt like I was in a glorified Walmart. Also I know it depends on what people buy in the area. I was a little disappointed in this Thom Thumb.”
“Fast and quick. It was clean but it smelled like somebody's foreign food...it was not pleasant, at all. The people were friendly and all in all it's cool. Right next to a park so that makes it convenient too.”

The young woman working in the cosmetics section was extremely helpful & polite. Unfortunately I didn't get her name, but I shopped around 3pm, she helped me locate a certain soap for sensitive skin. Truly appreciated her taking the time to help me.”

“I love their selection of food ..I don't have a Kroger in my area..All I have is walmart and heb..I live in the harker heights ,Killeen, fort hood area..And Kroger will go very well there..We have the largest army base and all our stores stay so very busy..Please consider building one in that area..thank you”
“I always like coming here for small items like if I want to get something for dinner, I would come here. I wouldn't grocery shop here. It seems it's really only suited for small purchases. The staff are usually polite and helpful. I have never had a problem with this location.

“Love this place man. They always take care of me. I'm up here like 5x a week ? I come here mostly for the THCA flower. I don't trust street bud anymore and I worked in medical cannabis for 6 years in Arizona. Since we don't have dispensaries in Texas, nor is it actually legal, this is the next best thing. I know what strain I'm getting, can look up testing results via manufacture, and in general can control my relationship with cannabis a bit better. I found some other shops across Texas (I travel all over tx for work) that carry other brands of THCA flower at more competitive prices, but I like the people here, location and the relationship I've built here. Will always be my goto shop when I'm in town.”
“As before , I have been in a lot of $ Generals before & thought I'd found the best one until yesterday ! This $ General is so far the best over all , Raven the manager is amazing & the store is clean !!! The day I was in there it was only the manager working , she was stocking , cleaning , running the register , helping customers , plus helping me get my work done . That takes a very dedicated & Amazing person to do that daily !!”

“The ice is always good as if it just came out of the molds. The ice also seems made from filtered water. You do not have bang the bag to separate the ice as you would with many other ice bags from gasoline stations. Awesome!”

“I want to commend Ms Tasha and Ms Roslin in the self check out line for their great customer service. The deal for chips wasn't registering. First I had the wrong chips then I didn't have enough bags of chips so I get another one I scan it and it didn't work. The ice cream was coming up incorrect price. Tried my app nothing. Both ladies worked their magic and the system update everytime. I want to thank them both for their help and patience with me all this while helping other customers. Outstanding ladies”
