I am SO HAPPY to have finally found an honest, fast, fairly priced VW mechanic. Took me YEARS. They switched my clutch in a day when others told me it would take a week. They also charged me honestly, my parts were cheaper than they had quoted me because I needed an older model, so they charged me cheaper. I NEVER would have known they used a different part. If they keep this up in never leaving them. ?
I basically never do reviews, but good mechanics are so hard to come by.”

“I was on day 2 of my cross country drive when my car gave me a low coolant warning (typical for BMW), I had my car towed here asap and they were able to get me back on the road in 3 hours!! They did testing and replaced my water pump, and pressurized and replaced my fluids. Their price was fair and was far less than what BMW would have charged me. “It’s been over one month since I got my vehicle returned from Texican Transmission & Motors and have not experienced any problems to date and it still feels like new. Johnny, the owner, personally rebuilt the 22-year-old, 120,000-mile Ford AOD transmission on my 1992 Mustang 5.0 daily driver. “My husband and I called on Saturday (7/26/25) because the engine of our car wouldn’t turn over. Lights, a/c and the dash would light up, but the engine wouldn’t turn over!! We spoke to Martin (Ruben’s son who now runs the business) & he said he could come take a look Sunday morning. He showed up like he promised and found the problem & was able to fix it!!! It was a small, electrical wire that connects to the alternator which was severed. This gentleman knows his stuff and he does what he says! We highly recommend Ruben’s Mobile Auto Repair!”
“Add mine to the list of positive reviews. Wally answered my questions when I first called about ABS/VSC lights coming on in my Sienna as a result of rodent damage. It cost more than he guesstimated, but it was still a couple hundred less than the same work cost at the dealer when I had to have it done before. They were able to get the work done while I waited at the restaurant next door so I didn’t have to try to arrange a ride back and forth for my long drive home. Plus they are way closer than the dealer. I will turn to them first for future auto work.”

“I cannot recommend Vista Auto Service Center enough. They have been in business forever in our local community. I brought in my 2015 Mercedes-Benz GLA 250 4MATIC after experiencing a catastrophic failure where the turbo sent metal into the engine, resulting in a total engine failure.
The local Mercedes-Benz dealership quoted me over $22,000 for an engine and turbo replacement. Sam at Vista Auto Service Center was able to complete the same work while saving me over $10,000, without cutting corners.
On top of that, I also had him take care of my brakes, which required a brake sensor replacement along with new rotors and brake pads. That job alone saved me at least another $1,000 compared to dealership pricing.
From the very beginning, Sam was extremely professional, transparent, and easy to work with. Communication was excellent throughout the entire process. Every repair and cost was discussed with me beforehand, and there were no surprises. He even provided receipts for parts he sourced on my behalf, which really built trust and confidence in his work.
I actually found Vista Auto Service Center through a tow truck driver, and I’m glad I did. After calling around for months trying to find a shop capable of handling such a complex repair, Sam and his team stood out well above the rest.
