“Service was lacking. Suffered a burn injury at breakfast and the breakfast crew wasn't even gonna clean the waffle iron that had my burnt knuckles on it. Went to front desk since it was a serious burn and the person working was more concerned about her text she was sending than getting me burn cream and a band aid. She didn't even say a word to me when she seen my knuckles blistered up and top of my hand burnt pretty bad. Just rolled her eyes and slid some cleansing cream and a band aid. It was a poor response.

Bring your own hair dryer cus theirs is sad and took an hour to somewhat dry my hair.

No housekeeping in the 3 nights 4 days we were there.”

And cereal coffee and more it was great!Nearby activities: Seems a bit of a walk to get to places or an uber will be very reasonable to get you anywhere you needSafety: Seems to be no safety concerns in the area”

“Amazing location, could see the ocean from our balcony! We got the king suite. The price was unbeatable for the stay and room we had. We spent 6 nights in this wonderful hotel. The front desk was very helpful, kind and professional. The room was very clean and beyond what we even imagined. The housekeepers went above and beyond to make sure our room was kept nice since we were so busy running around, they also went above and beyond and did such a great job. We will definitely be coming back and letting others know if they want to visit that this is the hotel we would recommend! The location is perfect. It is in the middle of everything you could ever want to do and is convenient! Thank you for helping to contribute to an amazing vacation memory we will never forget for my children and us.Rooms: Exceptional! Well kept. Lots of space, roomy balcony, comfortable couch. King bed was super comfortable and clean!Nearby activities: Public Beach, Baywatch Dolphin Tour, Pleasure Pier, Lots of restaurants and fast food, convenient stores, smoke shops, Arcades, Moody Gardens Aquarium, Outside Pool, Gym, Ghost Tour, Carriage Tour, Scavenger Hunt, Biplane cockpit ride, Rage Cage, Bars/Pubs, and Winery. “There is everything to love about this home. My wife and I rented out the gypsy suite for our honeymoon. It is very unique! And the owner crafted everything herself. Right next to the beach and gas station! Very convenient”

“Really clean and recently remodeled hotel. After reading reviews of all hotel around, I decided for this one and I can say I took the best decision. A little expensive for the location and I would say staff need to be more friendly but otherwise, good hotel.”

“My family and I chose this hotel because it was near my sister’s house and right around the corner from (Galveston) Island. This hotel ended up being one of the best La Quinta’s that I have stayed at in a while. I’m a frequent traveler so having a nice, clean, comfortable and friendly hotel is very important to me. We intended to stay only for two nights but we were so impressed with the hotel we extended our stay for 2 more days. All of the staff were very friendly and accommodating, especially Mrs. Kathy Peters shout out to you my friend!! Thank you for your awesome customer service! We will be back! The outdoor pool, fitness center and complimentary breakfast was a plus!”

“We stayed here for a 1 night getaway from Houston. At first, i was a little worried to all of the negative feedbacks. The stay was actually good.

PROS:
The lady at the front desk in the afternoon that checked us in was really nice. The room was big. The view of the ocean was nice being on the 3rd floor. The jacuzzi in the room worked and we enjoyed relaxing in it.

CONS:
There's a musky smell in the room. Probably from the carpet and coz it's a hotel next to the ocean. The scrambled eggs served for breakfast wasn't as good as most hotels. Probably it being liquid eggs and made in the microwave.

Other than that, we would definitely stay here again for the jacuzzi.”

“I’m leaving a 5 star review based on what the place is and what we were expecting. We’re currently at the Lone Star Rally for the weekend. We waited until the last minute, I looked everywhere for basically a room to store our stuff and lay our heads at night. There was nothing even close to the area for under $200 a night and that was if something was even available. My husband remembers staying here a few years back and said it’s not what you’re used to but it will work.

Well, it’s not anything close to what I’m accustomed to and it’s not the Taj Mahal by any means. The owner was the sweetest lady ever, the room is old and in need of repairs and renovation, but it’s clean, actually pretty spacious, the bed is comfortable, the A/C is cold, tv is new and there is Dish Network. There are no bugs that I have encountered (I hate bugs of any kind!!) and there is no fridge or microwave. We just ordered Uber Eats and enjoyed our meal. You can’t beat the location, we walked to the vendors on the Seawall and Pleasure Pier is about a half a block away. Overall, for the price and convenience, I would not hesitate to stay again. I understand that it wouldn’t be everyone’s dream vacation stay, but if you’re looking for a decent, cheap place to stay and can overlook a few inconveniences, it’s worth 5 stars given what it is. Plus, I like to support local small business, so if it helps the owner with making some improvements, then that’s just a plus.”

“I booked at this place for 4 nights .and I enjoy it a lot, so I end up staying another night, I had a great time weather was great I stayed from sunday Dicember 29 till Thursday January 2 and I just got back home today; I have to be honest the room I got it was good, shower really nice and clean, before I got situeded I spend little time cleaning it the way I like it... there was a light bulb burn out on the ceiling and the smoke detector hanging down and I fixed both and clean the place a little bit and I was ready to go .
The key to respect it's to respect others, the owner and staff treated me with respect, and refund my deposit whit no issues. I think that for the price and location, I have nothing else to ask for I was alone and that was on my side because at this point im all terrain... I have stayed in la quinta hotel before
And at comfort suits and at the san luis resort and honestly
I can't spect a Cadillac when I know I'm buying a dodge .......
Sometimes being negative it just doesn't help I'm not trying to put any body up or down .
What im trying to do it's share my experience

God bless America

Peace and Love

Tirado”
